Brilliant service from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Alejandro for capturing the footage of our wedding day. The confetti walk shot in slow motion is fantastic. Just wonderful

Derek and Maureen were our videographers at our wedding on 29th June 2023 at Brig O Doon. From the start was a very relaxed vibe which I loved and were very professional throughout. Absolutely love the highlights video and the stills which were provided very quickly after the wedding. Loved that they captured guest footage as well as bridal/grooms party prep in the morning. The final wedding film is amazing, with so much captured that we didnt get a chance to see on the day. So glad we booked.

Brilliant service.

We booked Derek and Maureen for our wedding on the 22nd of June and had the best time ever. They were both decreet and professional, arrived on time at both venues to capture the perfect shots of myself and husband getting ready. We had lots of fun making different shots with our wedding party. Within a few days we had our video stills and highlights video which was beautiful to watch. Great service

Derek & Maureen were out of this world, they just sunk into the background and you’d never of known they were there, and that’s me just going by the video stills & highlights so far. some of the close ups they got of me getting ready I would never have known they had been taken! Maureen was outstanding right down to my 2 year old who obviously wasn’t interested for half the morning prep 🤣 I will forever recommend them both and the final film has been captured perfectly.

Thank you VIP Wedding Films!

We had Derek all day working hard in the background unseen and unheard making us the most fabulous video of our day , which I was so glad of given how fast the day goes and I remember very little of it.. I looked at previous reviews for videographers before booking VIP . We received some stills the next day and a short video within couple of days then 2 weeks later our full video which made me feel very emotional , It was amazing and we can’t thank you enough Derek. 10/10. What is your most memorable wedding?

They are all memorable as every wedding and couple are special to us.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Have won and been nominated for so many Wedding Awards throughout our 13 years in business, we are delighted to be recognised as one of the top wedding videography companies in Scotland. Proud to be able to capture our couples special day and leave them with a lifetime of memories.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be organised and book the suppliers ASAP , as top suppliers dates go very quickly and years in advance, but most importantly enjoy your day, it is the quickest day of your life and you have put so much planning in to it, so its important that you enjoy the day as much as possible.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

We always love it when dogs or our couples pets are involved, as they are a huge part of the family Also when surprises happen, and seeing the reaction on peoples faces.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After he deposit to secure our services has been made, we then arrange an informal meeting either by video call or face to face to get all the details and timings of the wedding. On the day, we film in a totally natural style, blending into the background to ensure every moment is captured. We cover everything from morning prep through to the evening dancing. After the wedding, we select a number of video screenshots that we post on social media, with the highlights (normally put to the music of the first dance) following shortly afterwards. We then keep our couples up to date with when to expect their final film, which is sent through our online service. The online service means you can download it on to your phone, computer, lap top, and watch it anywhere, you can also share with friends and family. USB's can be purchased also at an additonal cost.

What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?

There have been so many over the years, it honestly would be difficult to pinpoint one. We filmed an event once with HRH The King, which was great and also a secret proposal on Greenan Beach in Ayr....... which was lovely to film and see the reaction of the bride to be when the proposal was made.

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

Braveheart or Highland Cathedral. Music is very important throughout a wedding film, and we ask all clients to provide 10 to 12 of their own personal favourite that we then include in the edited Wedding film. We have had everything from ACDC to Star Wars and Harry Potter , so don't think all the songs have to be traditional.

Describe how you got into videography.

It all started as a hobby, having filmed and edited a few short documentaries, we were then asked to film a family Wedding...... and the rest they say is history!! We started the business in 2011 as Ultimate Moments Videography, but in 2023 took the massive step of rebranding our business name to V.I.P Wedding Films - which has worked very well for us.
