What is your most memorable wedding?
A recent Nepali-Jamaican wedding whereby the fire alarms were set off just as the dance floor started to pick up! The sirens rang rang rang, and all guests rushed outside to protect their ears. This was a moment where the energy could have got sapped out of the guests, but with the fire truck racing through the gates (and thankfully there was no major fire), a portable speaker ended up fuelling the guests to shake their moves outside and infront of the firetruck!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, candid, friendly, unobtrusive & loving!
What about your business are you most proud of?
Really giving each wedding every single fibre of my soul! Whether it's behind the scenes preparation before the wedding, running around all day and capturing little and magical details that add character to the wedding film, or watching every single frame of the wedding footage while editing - I am proud of how I really show each wedding film and couple the love that they deserve! Weddings are the most magical days in a couple's life, and the fact that I get to film them for my career - well I have to pinch myself because it still doesn't feel real! Being surrounded by warmth, positivity, love and energy: it's a dream job!!!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
This past summer I have filmed 10 weddings - and every single one of them has been absolutely beautiful and absolutely unique! So my suggestions to couples reading this: don't sweat the small stuff as everything will turn out beautifully, and remember - it's your magical day and there's no two people like you, so do it your way!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A cake cut done with a sword!!!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First up, we take our time and have a lovely video call or chat; and if we are both nearby, a meeting in person is even better! From there I get to understand what type of couple and people you are, and that starts to help form the inspiration for the highlights film: in terms of how I film the big day and you both, through to how I edit the piece also! Some couples also request a pre-wedding shoot, which I can do also; so we can then send out a video invite to guests - something that is unique and beautiful!
From there, we talk back and forth regarding the order of the day and the most important moments you want captured - as every couple is different and wants the focus on different things!
After that-
The big day! We film, we laugh, we smile, we even cry - as together we make the most beautiful highlights film!
Following that, I retreat to my editing cave and craft the most special highlights film, where I inspect every single second of footage from the big day to create an everlasting highlights film!
We then move to delivery - which is usually online, but can also be done via DVD or USB upon request.
And the final step?
A Highlights film from my heart to yours, that captures your big day in an everlasting and magical way!
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A Nepali-Jamaican party dancing in front of a firetruck with a portable speaker // Or a Gothic English Wedding in Allington Castle featuring a cake cut using a sword!!
