We're proud of our success rate and good feedback after all the years of making wedding films. Being able to leave something so personal behind with our name on, capturing memories for a lifetime it is a great reward.
A nice easy to follow spreadsheet with all of the suppliers/things that you want noted down. Being able to see it all in black and white really takes the uncertainty out of things. Above all, enjoy the journey and the excitement that comes with planning a wedding...don't forget the wedding video either ;)
I always love it when couples get their kids involved either doing a reading, song, flower girl or page boy. It really adds to the day in such a personal way. A couples' dog walking the rings down the aisle can also be pretty amazing too.
After conformation of a booking we issue a booking fee invoice and wedding paperwork. This paperwork is used by us to plan our filming day based off your arrangements and timings.
After this we always try to arrange a face-to-face meeting to say hello and go over the wedding plans. Depending on the date of the wedding, how far in advance it has been booked we'll remain quite laid back and allow you continue your planning of other things, safe in the knowledge that the Videography is taken care of.
About 1 month before the wedding we can again have another meeting to finalize any outstanding information and to exchange the completed paperwork so we can finish our filming planning (a telephone call can also suffice).
The final invoice will be issued with payment expected BEFORE the wedding date.
After this has been received we are pretty much good to go but we are always available for a chat on the phone if things change last minute.
The wedding day is your day and we try to stay in the background as much as possible (unless otherwise instructed) - we want you to smile and be as relaxed as possible on the day so we can capture the best candid footage as we can, therefore it's important for us to keep any filming disruption to an absolute minimum.
Once in the edit you should receive a first cut within 1 month, giving you the option to check the film is exactly as you'd like, using this draft cut as a chance to make any changes to the final film. Once we've received your blessing we'll then do a final mix and export your final wedding film and Highlights (at this point the film is 'locked' and can not be re-edited without an additional charge).
This is just a basic outline of the process we follow in order to make things as easy and smooth as possible.

Music is really subjective and we treat it as one of those personal touches that is chosen by our clients, any songs with special meaning to them. However personally I like Foo Fighters - Times Like These (Acoustic), Walk the Moon - Shut Up and Dance (that song works almost anywhere during a wedding film), as does most Michael Buble songs. Weddings are happy celebrations and I like songs that reflect that and compliment the shots we're seeing on screen.
