What is your most memorable wedding?
There honestly isn't one that stands out as each day is just as important as any previously shot, irrespective of budget or location. Your wedding day is about you and each day has it's own memorable moments.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, candid, fun, stress-free, humble
What about your business are you most proud of?
The answer here should be our 11 international wedding awards but actually I am most proud of my team. As you can imagine running a business is a huge risk and I have spent 9 years building this to where it is. Taking a hand off the wheel and trusting someone with my business name and reputation and still getting the same result makes me extremely proud as I trained my team to film and photo in a way that suits our style.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take your time and enjoy the planning process, with so many not so good suppliers out there getting the one that is perfect for you can take some time.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When people add colour!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once the booking is secured, a confirmation letter and client details form is sent out via email. Closer to the date we will set up either a video call or you can pop into my studio in the centre of my local town. Naturally I am always available via social media or email for any help or assistance as I always stress my clients can lean on me for any other suppler recommendations. We then shoot your magnificent day. If we are your photographer you would receive a small selection of teaser based photos a few days prior the day. Then its playing the patient game of waiting for your edits to return to you. No ghosting from us we are always available.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
I caught a drag queen come own the isle after the ceremony and somewhat attack (nicely) the groom for marrying his wife and not the artist!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
I have one coming up that as the business owner I am out filming so my colleague is filming it and I want to film at the venue and for the couple he is shooting!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Anything from an artist called Daniel Pratt
Describe how you got into videography.
My videography journey started with YouTube where I had a personal page that grew to quite a large size and that is where I got my first ever wedding request from a shy bride who got her sister to contact me as she thought I was a celebrity of sorts. Which I can tell you I am not. Asking if I could film her wedding in the same style I shot those videos. I promised nothing but said I would give it a go and I caught the bug. This has then gone on to become a multi award winning video and photo team where we have had the pleasure of shooting for fellow videographers and I personally have given talks and presentations on the art of video at places such as Power of Video.
