What is your most memorable wedding?
Absolutely loved a wedding we filmed about 6 years ago. The couple created a story where she was the 'Queen of the Fairies' and he was 'King of the Knights'. All the guests were dressed as creatures of the realm and had a special power :) This is just one of the more memorable weddings we have filmed but to be honest I could go on and on, because we love wedding!!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, Creative, Elegant, Filmic, Touching
What about your business are you most proud of?
Im quite proud of the feedback more than all the certificates and awards we have received over the years. Hearing how we have preserved the most precious day for a couple is very rewarding.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book a videographer!! Actually I'm kidding, just make time even if its only 5 minutes to be together alone while you take in the moment together.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I think its really cool when there is something used that has history and a meaningful link to the couple. Something like an a grandparents locket or maybe a pocket watch. It always makes for a great story.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We never pressure sell, I'm a big believer in letting people make up their own minds and its super important that we are a good fit together. Once a couple decide they want to work with us we secure the date and confirm everything. We try to make the process as easy as possible. Several weeks before the wedding we touch base and go through the finer details of the day. This allows us to know whats happening and when in order to maximise the time we have on the day. Theres always a few surprises and things rarely run to schedule but at least we have a plan and a concept for shooting.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
I find the ordinary soooo exciting and we never tire of seeing the emotive moments unfold. They are truly breathtaking sometimes and it makes us thankful for the wonderful job we do.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
I would have loved to directed one of the Indiana Jones movies, I really like action flicks and it would have been great to work with Spielberg!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I have so many its difficult to say one specific track. I tend to sway towards the less well known tracks and I love cinematic music as a genre.
Describe how you got into videography.
I studied Film and digital Media at University and gained a B.A,Hons. Around that time I was heavily involved in photography and after starting Cedar House Production did more film making and shooting live events. I really loved documentary and wedding films was such a rewarding career I decided to specialise in this area and put all my energy into producing some of the best work possible.
