What is your most memorable wedding?
Ahh, too many to list! One that springs to mind as it was more recent was the Wedding of Blake and Althea. It was a circus themed Wedding that featured fire breathing, a trapeze, silk show and numerous musical performances. It was totally crazy and brilliant.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Discreet, Fun, Passionate, Dedicated
What about your business are you most proud of?
Becoming the regional winner at The Wedding Industry Awards in only our second year of filming Weddings. Totally unexpected and humbling.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When it comes to videography, pay close attention to the audio from things such as the speeches or ceremony. Audio is 50% of the product and we find its often overlooked or poorly done. We take it super serious and pride ourselves on our great audio.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We recently saw a Game of Thrones theme table plan designed and created entirely by the groom. It didn't look like he just got some pritt-stick and cardboard and stuck some things down. It looked amazing! He must have spent hours and hours putting it together.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Following an initial enquiry, we answer any questions they may have and send over an example Wedding film if they would like to see it. Booking with us is nice and straightforward - both our contract and deposit can be signed and paid for online! Once booked, we'll arrange a pre-Wedding consultation closer to their day and this is where we drill down into how the day will pan out and what the couple want out of their film. Elements they'd like us to focus on for example, or any style requests they might have.
Following the Wedding, we deliver the film and trailer around 8 - 12 weeks afterwards and give them the opportunity to give feedback on both, such as any changes they'd like or things they want adding in. We get those made (if any!) and then deliver the final products in digital and physical form through the post.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A throwing of the bouquet got a little competitive at one particular Wedding we were filming, so much so that the Brides nan came running in to catch it and knocked over a little girl to make sure she did. The little girl was perfectly fine and the resulting footage still makes us laugh.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
A soundtrack works best when it compliments the moving image and helps to evoke a certain emotion. We always ask couples for their preferred choices in music or genre for their film and then do our best to work it in to do just that.
Describe how you got into videography.
We all studied Media Production at Coventry University through our loving of moving image when growing up (we're all big film and TV buffs). After starting to work on projects together, culminating in our award winning short film Black Hill for our Final Production before graduating, it seemed like a natural fit to take our love of storytelling to the Wedding industry!
