Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Discreet. Candid. Natural. Fun. Relaxed.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very proud of the fact that I get so much of my business from previous couples recommending me to their friends and family.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
There are many exciting things that I have filmed, but for me it's the candid moments, like when the bride and groom are smiling at each other, kissing or laughing and they don't even know I'm filming.
Often the best moments are when you leave the camera rolling and you get some epic moments. For example, I filmed a wedding where I left the back up camera rolling at the end of the ceremony as I didn't have time to switch it off. When I came to download the footage, I saw several minutes where some of the guests and the bride's kids had started singing into the camera and having a right laugh. They probably didn't even think the camera was still rolling. I put it on the end of their DVD and to this day the bride still talks about it !!!!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
The Matrix, because I love the technology they used.
Describe how you got into videography.
I started out working for another local business. I responded to a newspaper job advert for a video editor to work alongside the business owner, editing wedding video footage and producing the final discs. After a while I was also asked to film some weddings. I liked what I was doing but wanted more overall control of the filming and production, so decided to start my own video production business.
