Describe the best wedding that happened at Murthly Estate?
We had a Scottish - Brazilian wedding not long ago. The couple got married in the Douglas fir woodland avenue on a beautiful summer's day, and all the Brazilian men wore kilts. The guests said it was like being at Downton Abbey!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't buy or organise everything that bridal magazines tell you to - keep it simple and remember that the real focus of the day is the wedding ceremony itself.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A Hobbit themed wedding, with nearly all the music played being from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films, and a hand-engraved sign at the marquee reading 'No Admittance except on party business'.

Our wedding parties love being photographed on the double sweep of stairs in front of the castle. Couples love being photographed in the yew avenue, with the sun slanting through the trees.
