I'm not really sure where to start with this email because I have so many positive things to say about our wedding on Saturday. We always thought it was going to go well because our meetings with Julie had always gone so well, and we really loved the space on the top floor. But you never really know how the night will go and we'd never been to a wedding there to get an idea of how it would look. What we got exceeded out expectations tenfold! For starters Julie and her team dressed the venue with our decorations to perfection, better than anything we could've done. We were stunned with how the room looked and our guests were too. Not only that, they boxed it all up so neatly that all we had to do was walk out of the door with it and get it into the car; it all took less than ten minutes. They even collected up the small crystals from the table and put them back into the bags, something that they really didn't have to do, we were fully expecting them to go into the bin. Each and every one of your staff were positive, friendly and professional; to say that they were "On it" wouldn't be doing them justice. Even at 12:30am they were still smiling and nothing was too much for them.
The food was amazing, our guests loved it and everyone was raving about the main in particular. The rooms were brilliant, spacious and comfy, we were sad not to get to spend more time there. The entertainment was excellent and the way that Julie managed to make the DJ work in conjunction with the band was a big weight off our mind.
Julie herself deserves her own email after everything she did for us! To say she was professional would be the understatement of the year! She was always there in the background making things run smoothly, helping us stay calm, doing small things for us like taking care of veils, sorting dresses and delivering cards to our room. We really owe the success of our wedding to her and to the Mercure. Myself and Rachel are absolutely buzzing and are raving about how well it all went.
