Our Stunning Wedding Day

The events team for Hotel du Vin were amazing. From the initial meeting with Fern, she looked after us and made sure she knew exactly what we wanted. On the day, everything seemed effortless and at no point did we feel like anything was too much ask or hassle. Kate, one of the hotel managers, made sure the day ran smoothly and made sure that my husband and I had absolutely nothing to stress about. The wedding breakfast and evening buffet were both gorgeous and our guests have commented on.

Gorgeous Venue

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and we looked at this one venue in York and knew it was for us. The communication with everyone involved leading up to the day was great! So on the day there was no burning issues or concerns as they were all dealt with via emails, phone calls or in person. For us personally we let the venue set u pur room for our wedding breakfast, it was absolutely stunning. Alot of care went into it and I can't say enough how gorgeous it was, to say they did it themselves.

Absolutely Stunning!

We decided to host our UK do at Hotel Du Vin before we flew to Italy for our big wedding day. The staff at Hotel Du Vin were excellent. Fern and Kate were amazing. The hotel is absolutely stunning and spacious for our guests. The bedrooms were also delightful. Our day was so special and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue.

Fantastic Service at the newly renovated HDV

As regular guests at HDV for some years now, we already love the hotel. We married here in the December of 2019 and since then have come back to visit on numerous occasions. This stay did not disappoint, as usual, and we were blown away by the service and approachable nature of the staff. A warm and friendly welcome greeted us, and check in was swift and efficient. The lady on reception helped us with our luggage and more importantly our drinks to the room.

The Hotel du Vin in York is the best hotel in York, and we have stayed in many. From the moment you walk through the door, you are made to feel welcome and relaxed. Our room was lovely. A big thank you to all the staff from Lucy and Pete. We will be back.

We went for Sunday lunch which was our first visit. The staff we dealt with ( Nicole and Scott I believe ) were excellent and the food was great. The starters are from a table of various choices which is an unusual approach but worked really well and the options were really good. The decor is in a French style of course and we thought it looked stylish. Read less

The room we had was faultless. Decor was immaculate and was clean, well equipped, and well presented. The hotel has good parking, which they do charge extra for at £15 per 24 hours, but that is ok and is cheaper than carparks in the area that charge £25 per day. The bar area and restaurant are tastefully furnished and well stocked. The hotel is a very comfortable and pleasant place to be. Every member of staff we encountered was Polite, Helpful and very professional but mostly really friendly. W
