What is your most memorable wedding?
I find it so hard to choose between the weddings I have been lucky enough to be a part of, because I work so closely with all my couples they all mean so much to me. A recent wedding I did for a bride Karla and her, now Husband John however will always stand out for me. Being with them from the very start of their journey with save the dates, I loved being a part of their story! Their invites where also a dream and came together so beautifully!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Timeless, Elegant, Stylish, Quality, Polished
What about your business are you most proud of?
My eye for quality has always seen me in good stead, I like the finer things in life no doubt about it and I think you can really tell the difference when you hold something high quality in your hand. I have tried and tested a lot of suppliers and I now have a little black book of trusted suppliers I work with to produce my work to the highest possible standard, standards which I don't compromise on. I can safely say I am proud of every single invitation that goes out of my studio, from the simple and practical to the all out show stoppers, the same care and attention to the details goes into every, single, one!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Source and book your suppliers early! The ones you love might just get snapped up by someone else in advance. I have a strict maximum number of bookings per month so that I can dedicate my time to those clients without feeling rushed or sacrificing on their experience.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
As I stereotypical virgo organisation is a big part of my process!! I always start with a consultation which can be a sit down chat with coffee or a quick chat on the phone/ zoom. This helps me get a real feel for your day and see if we would be a good fit for one another! That is followed up by a personalised quote so you can budget and make decisions based on some of the costs that are relevant to your likes and needs. Once you book I have a state of the art client management system where clients have their own personal area to share ideas and information and where I will upload proofs and visuals for your invitations before they go to print. I have streamlined my system over nearly 5 years of working the wedding stationery game and I like to think it is very straightforward, organised and stress free! I am there to hold your hand as much as needed to get the perfect wedding stationery for your day!
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
It has to be the invitation, it sets the tone for your whole day and I think that is a huge part of the wedding never mind the stationery! I am a self proclaimed stationery addict, I keep all the invitations I receive ( yes every single one) in a memory box and I love looking through them all from time to time. I like to think I attract those people too! I don't do the 'it just goes in the bin' mentality at all, I am here to create a long lasting beautiful memory of your wedding to keep and enjoy!
What is your best seller?
I have become quite well known for beautiful timeless stationery. I recently create a custom card sleeve for a couple and it has been infamous and I have now recreated in in many shapes and sizes for other couples! It is most definitely my most asked for item!!
What is the most innovative delivery method you have come across?
I dont know Carrier pigeon, everything is nice and straightforward with me, well packaged, recycled where possible and either collection or delivery with a few options!
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
I love taking small personal details and weaving them into your stationery, from illustrations to incorporating engagement stories and couples ' journey to I DO' I think personal details about the couple helps add some romance! a few nice details like personalised wax seals and envelope liners doesn't hurt either!
