What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding stationery was created for a very close friend of mine. The bride and groom's theme was 'light & romantic', and they allowed me to have a huge part in the design process of their stationery too - which I absolutely loved. We went with beautiful textured card with black ink, gorgeous blush ribbon and a gold eyelet detail for the place cards. We decided on a mirror seating plan, which is one of my favourite items to create actually - the mirror had a detailed gold frame and I used white ink. The day was wonderful, with a beautiful ceremony, great food and a lot of bad dancing into the late evening!!
What about your business are you most proud of?
Everything. All the successes and failures. It's what makes it special.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Create a day that is perfect for you both and ignore any unwanted opinions during the guest list decisions!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A huge cheese selection instead of cake... Yum.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
Seating plans are usually a huge & impressive piece which everyone loves to have a look at.
What is your best seller?
Place cards and large welcome signage! I've also seen a huge rise in perspex/acrylic place cards & signage - a material I love.
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
Adding flourishes to my lettering and using beautiful silky ribbon...
