FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

This might be a cop out but I couldn't pick between my brides so I will say my own. I got married in 2012 after doing stationery for a few years. Our wedding was floral and relaxed. We got family and friends involved to decorate our barn venue and after trawling Pinterest for a lifetime we had personalised cocktails, and DIY decorations. My wedding invitations were full on floral but I put my bridesmaids in ivory as a contrast to the business of a floral pattern, it was amazing, can't wait to renew my vows if the hubby lets me :D

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Elegant Romantic Whimsical Quality Individual

What about your business are you most proud of?

My recommendations, so much of my business comes from brides who have recommended me to their friends and that really makes me proud.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Ooh difficult one. I think a very practical tip might be that when you are thinking of a colour scheme, maybe have a couple of colours, so for example if you do pick a certain shade of pink, maybe accent it with a silver, gold or pearl (or anything) so then when you are choosing other parts for your big day, if you can't match the pink of your bridesmaids perfectly, you have your second co-ordinating colour to work with. With your invitations we can usually match any colour but the amount of couples I've spoken to who've struggled to match the dresses to the ties, or the shoes to the chairs is a lot and when you are planning a wedding you want to save yourself stress wherever possible.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

We've had a couple of brides include photo's of their parents and grandparents wedding days and that always makes me smile. Whether it be as the table numbers or on the plan itself in some cases I love seeing wedding photo's from decades gone by.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Normally a couple will get in touch after seeing my website or coming to a wedding fayre. If they have seen a particular invite they love they will request a sample in their chosen colours, this works for my brides far away. If they are local-ish couples will visit my home studio for a consultation where in a relaxed meeting we'll discuss your wedding, show you all the samples and talk over some possible ideas before deciding what to create you as a sample. This sample is then posted out. After you receive the sample you decide if you love it and if you do then we proceed with the order.

What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?

The invitation, it's the 1st part of your wedding guests see, it adds the formality that says, this is a special occasion, now get excited!! You get your 1st chance to give your guests a peak at the style of your wedding day and it's their chance to start planning their part in your day, what they'll where etc. It really sets the tone.

What is your best seller?

I think maybe the Lilibeth invitation however I have a new design that isn't on the website yet that people have been choosing again and again in consultation.

What is the most innovative delivery method you have come across?

erm, I don't know.

How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?

By including the couple. Each couple has their own romance, whether it's all out roses and champagne or if it's in the little things they do for each other. I think by speaking to the couples and including their personalities and choices it really comes across to their guests.
