What is your most memorable wedding?
They are ALL memorable for a million different reasons.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Cheerful, Charming, Thoughful, Joyful, Fantastic
What about your business are you most proud of?
Following 6 years working as a destination wedding Celebrant in Sunny Spain I have relocated back to the UK and have rebooted my new solo career from scratch.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't take it all too seriously. It should be an enjoyable experience.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Oh Wow! There are so many. One particular favourite was little maracas under the chairs for all of the guests to use for the recessional song at the end. Brilliant way to start the party!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We will have an initial meeting to discuss any ideas you may have for your ceremony and what elements you would like to include. This can be either in person if feasible, or a video chat, because let's face it we are all busy people and you now have a wedding to plan. Eek!
I will talk you through everything and give you lots of inspiration and suggestions about what you can include in your special day.
Crafting Your Perfect Ceremony Experience
Following our initial meeting we will have lots of communication via phone, e-mail, text and WhatsApp as you make decisions on the content of your ceremony. I will gather lots of lovely details about you both and from there I start to weave everything together to create the ceremony.
We can tweak it, amend it and add to it, until it is perfect for you.
I only ever take one booking per day, meaning you have complete exclusivity of the day.
Lets not forget about those all important vows.
I will guide you through all of the options and will also be on hand to check and help you with them should you decide to write your own personal vows to one another.
Many couples like to include an exchange of rings with a ring pledge, again this can be totally personalised, just for you.
Ask me about some of the fabulous ring pledges from last year.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
A wine ceremony with a twist. The couple had shots instead of wine and they drank a shot to their past and present and all of the guests joined them with a shot in a toast to their future. Such a fabulous way to end the ceremony on a high and kickstart the rest of the party!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
I always turn up an hour before the ceremony is due to start and make sure I speak to the happy couple and anyone else involved in the ceremony. I am an aura of calm and just make sure the couple are as relaxed as possible. Ceremonies should be enjoyed by the couple.
What do you love most about your job?
ALL OF IT!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Although I do enjoy a good entrance I must say I love the announcement of marriage and the big kiss moment at the end.
