What is your most memorable wedding?
They're all memorable for lots of different reasons. Something I have only seen once was one couple who had a friend as a Flower Man. He had a little bum bag filled with petals, sunglasses on and danced his way down the aisle to Prince 'Kiss', scattering petals as he went. It was very funny and a great start to the ceremony!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fun, flexible, energetic, exciting and inventive
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proud to be not only creating wedding ceremonies that are all about each couples individuality and love but also to be creating awareness that you don't have to choose between a registrar or a religious service - there is another option!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't worry about everyone else. Your day is all about you! You don't need to follow a certain format, spend a certain amount of money or do anything that you don't want to do! Make your wedding day as unique as you are!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my favourite parts of the ceremony is including a unique ritual that I have created especially for that couple. Once I had a ceremony for a blended family. They wanted to acknowledge the brides Polish background and the grooms Irish heritage as well as including their four children. I created a truly unique ritual, specifically for them and it was a really lovely, personal part of the ceremony that was perfect for this couple.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We would start with a discovery call, usually online or over the phone if preferred. Then, all being well once the couple have decided on a package and confirmed the booking we arrange an in-person planning meeting. Usually over a coffee or lunch, I learn all about my couples. Where it all began and the rest of their love story (I LOVE these meetings!). We can have as many meet ups or calls before the big day as my couples want. I will write the ceremony and share a copy of it with them for final sign off, at least one month before the big day. Then we all have the best day ever!!!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Communication and preparation! Oh, and a well packed ceremony bag, with back up copies of everything and seemingly random things that you'll be so smug about when you need them 1% of the time!
What do you love most about your job?
I love that I give my couples true flexibility and the freedom to do exactly what they want on their wedding day. I also love meeting, getting to know and making friends with my couples. It's so much fun!!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
The Kiss! Guests on their feet whooping and cheering and seeing the biggest smiles on everyone's face! I love, love, love the feeling in that moment - it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! :) <3
