What is your most memorable wedding?
So far, a beautiful, intimate wedding in a family garden, but I am very much looking forward to a 'camping' wedding next year!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fun, light-hearted, accommodating, enthusiastic, versatile.
What about your business are you most proud of?
That I've started this by myself and am developing it as I go along.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be yourselves. This is YOUR day, make it all about you and what is important to you. If being traditional is your thing, then go for it. But, if it isn't, be true to yourselves.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when family members and friends are involved in the ceremony.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once we've initially met and agreed to work together, I send through a timeline to keep us all on track. I then send out a couple's questionnaire to be completed and sent back. We then meet together again to go through any bits that I need clarifying or to pad out and just generally natter all things wedding. I then put the first draft of my script together. The wedding couple then read through it and suggest any edits they would like to see. I then tweak it and come up with the second draft. This can go back and forth a couple of times until the couple are happy with the script. About a week before the wedding, we meet at the venue (if possible) to have a rehearsal. On the day, I arrive about an hour before the ceremony and am on hand for a little time afterwards, if needed. Throughout the whole process, communication between us is unlimited and encouraged!
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Possibly a Viking wedding coming up!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
By being organised and confident myself and making sure that everybody involved in the ceremony is clear on what they are doing.
What do you love most about your job?
Start early! Give yourselves plenty of time to research ideas and suppliers.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
This is a hard one! I love when couples read/speak their vows to one another, but I also love the end of the ceremony when, typically, the couple walk back up the aisle to cheers and beaming smiles.
