The most important thing for me is to make sure that you have the best experince on your wedding day and after that I will give you beautiful photos that capture the essence of your day. They will make you smile, make you laugh and (as cheesy as it sounds) make you fall in love.....this time with your photos!
I will get to know you both, we will chat about the photos you would like me to take, about what you do & don't feel comfortable with etc. On your big day I will be ensuring you are both chilled, happy & comfortable. I will take the lead, but will also listen to both of you. I know that on the day things might change, that is never a problem, I am used to thinking on my feet. Any spare time I have during your day, I will be taking photos of the details, capturing people off guard or planning for a stunning evening shot of the two of you. I will work super hard to make the two of you SO happy with your photos.
After your wedding I will get some great teaser photos to you within a few days as I know you'll be so excited to see how the pictures look. I will then get all your photos edited in 3-6 weeks. You will have a private online gallery (for 6 months) where you can share the link with all your guests. You will also get all the high and medium resolution digital photos to download or on USB. There is also the option to order a wedding album that I can design with your choice of photos, creating the story of your day.
Yes, I am a full time, self employed photographer and am a qualified member of the the British Institute for Professional Photographers.
My style is natural, creative and relaxed. I like to capture your day as it happens, documenting the intimate moments but also the fun everyone is having. When photographing the couples portraits I will give a little direction, but I make sure it stays natural and you both feel relaxed and have fun.
Yes absolutely! I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
I would advise booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment, I have taken bookings 2 1/2 years before a wedding, but also just 1 month before, so get in touch as soon as you have your venue booked.
I have a booking fee of £300 to reserve the date of your wedding. This fee is non refundable as it is to guarantee that I will hold the date exclusively for you. The final payment is due on or before 4 weeks before your wedding.
I will power through!…I won’t let feeling unwell stop me or interfere with your special day. In a more serious scenario, I maintain relationships with other wedding photographers who can offer standby support if such an event was to unfortunately occur.
I can be there as long as you want me. I have different package options based on how long I will be there, however you can add extra hours if you would like me there for longer.
I don’t stop taking photographs other than during the wedding breakfast, so the amount is unlimited. There is no set number of images you will get, but you will get all the best ones from your day. On average, you can expect roughly 600-1000 from a full day’s wedding coverage. All of these come with a full personal print licence and in both high and low resolution, ready for printing or sharing online.
Typically it will take 3-5 weeks for your images to be ready after the wedding day but this can increase during busier times. Your online gallery will be set up first and the link and password sent to you so you can start sharing the photos with your friends and family. The gallery is password-protected and has a secure shopping facility to purchase prints from. I will then email you a link to download your high resolution photos. You can also request a USB with the photos on too. If you have ordered an album, we will have a chat about these once you have received all your images.
This is completely fine, and more common than you probably think! I don’t like fake reactions in photos and overly posed formal shots either. How I work is to just be there, to watch and to anticipate those moments that you actually want to see in your photographs. I have learned how to observe people and to capture the reactions that are really going to make you smile when you see the photos after! This is often why engagement shoots are a good idea; it gives you a chance to get used to being in front of the camera and to realise it’s actually not as painful as you’d think! When we go for photos with the two of you I might do a small bit of directing. Simple things, such as to get you to stand in a certain spot or show you some simple poses. It will be very relaxed, the aim being for you to react naturally, be comfortable and have fun! After all, it is your wedding day and you want to enjoy your time, not end up feeling stressed about the photos.
