Happy couple married in June

Mark and Mike, Hothorpe Hall
It was a genuine pleasure having Steve as our photographer for our big day! It was just like having a guest there that was a friend that you could have good banter with that just so happened to be a really good photographer as well. So many people commented on how nice he was throughout the day and how comfortable they all felt around him. The preview photos we have received from Steve so far are just amazing and we couldn't have asked for more from this great guy! Thank you again Steve.

From start to finish, Steve was incredibly positive and maintained excellent communication with us throughout the entire process. His photography skills are outstanding, and his warm personality instantly puts you at ease. From the moment I met him, I knew he was the right photographer for us because of how happy and relaxed he made us feel. Thank you so much, Lianne and Jordan!

Our wedding day was just over a week ago at Hengrave Hall,it was such a magical experience. From the very start Steve has been brilliant. His communication from start and even on the wedding day as well as after the wedding day was great. Steve made everyone feel comfortable and felt as if he was one of our guests, we had a wonderful engagement shoot which the photos are spectacular. we received some wonderful sneak peaks a few days after I can't wait to see the full album. We highly recommend.

FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

This is such a hard question to answer because I've loved all of my weddings but I did get to cover 2 weddings for the same family. They were so memorable because even though the venues/styles were entirely different I really felt that I connect with everyone single person because they were all willing to just be themselves, be open, have a great time and throw a kick-ass party!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Genuine, Fun, Romantic, Honest and Personal

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

As a photographer I have seen plenty of weddings that have huge gaps in between the events of the day, and that can cause what we in the industry call a "lull". It's horrible to think about, but its just what I've observed. Nobody wants their guests to be bored at their wedding. So if you foresee potential lulls make sure to put on mini-events like garden games, champagne towers, sparklers etc. And, if you want that incredible raving dancefloor that most want at a wedding, you have to be dancing too. Your guests are there to celebrate with you, not without you.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love the trend where everyone takes a shot together after the vows, or the couple having their favourite drink available for guests after the ceremony. It really sets the mood from ceremony to celebration.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas and an open mind. If you can bare getting a little wet on your wedding day, rainy pictures can be so much fun!

Describe how you got into photography.

I absolutely love hiking and wild camping. After visiting the Lake District and travelling around the North Coast 500 I really got into landscape photography. So much so that I decided to dip my toe in the water with family photography. I hated it. But I did realise I enjoy capturing and creating moments that turned into memoires that people loved. That's when I knew that I wanted to dive into weddings. Once I experienced the overwhelmingly positive, romantic, chaotic energy, and unadulterated honesty that only a wedding day can give you I was hooked!
