Hey, I’m James! 👋🏼
As a wedding photographer I focus on capturing the genuine emotions, unscripted interactions, and authentic details that make your story unique. I love to create honest, compelling imagery that tells your story as it is. I would describe my style as documentary wedding photography with an editorial edge.
I do try and stay out of your way as much as possible on the day allowing you and your partner to fully enjoy the wedding you have spent so long planning together. However, I'm never too far off to grab me for a specific shot.
When retouching your wedding I aim to keep the edits timeless and natural as you will see from my previous weddings. I want your gallery to serve as a wonderful reminder of your day together with all of your closest people.

Tailor your wedding day for yourselves. Your memories of the day are the most important!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Every time a couple bring their dog with them on the day!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Get to know the couple before the big day (interests, style etc). Talk through the plans and timings for the day. Stay out of your way as much as possible so you can enjoy your wedding as uninterrupted as possible!
Finally, provide you with an incredible gallery of images for you to remember the day for the rest of your lives!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Some couple shots even it’s just for 15 minutes or so. It gives you both time to be alone together on the big day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A bride jumping off a large pile of hay bales into the arms of the groomsmen.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it! Let's get some dramatic shots with umbrellas! I don't mind getting wet.

It was a hobby for around 15 years, beginning with an interest in film photography.
