Hey we're Mitch & Sarah an award winning wedding photography duo , We've been photographing weddings now for over 15 years, we love everything wedding related and we knew that wedding photography was something that we really wanted to do way back when we were just starting out . With every wedding we shoot comes something different and exciting, whether its an old barn door or an orchard at a venue or maybe a beautiful grand staircase we're always looking for that perfect location and shot to get you some stunning photos Having just been awarded finalist in the Wedding Industry Awards 2022, 2023 for 2024 too which was voted for by all of our amazing couples, you can rest assured your in good hands when you book us We never send a random photographer out , we always make sure every wedding is fully captured by myself and Sarah. Anna & Josh’s wedding at Foxtail Barns.

Our wedding day ran so smoothly and was everything we asked for from start to finish. Mitch was great at making sure we got the photos we wanted efficiently and led the way naturally. He worked well with our videographer & venue coordinator to make sure we were on time. He also did a singing set for us after the wedding breakfast which was a great ice breaker for the guests and got everybody up dancing and singing. Mitch is very professional at his job. Wow, What a day!!

We have no words left for how amazing our wedding day was & you helped us make sure it ran smoothly all day. You were really professional & got everything we wanted & needed. We didn’t feel we were taken away from our friends and family for too long, and it was really enjoyable going off around the grounds having our photos done. As well as this your singing waiter set really brought the atmosphere after the meal & got everyone up on their feet. Amazing day!!

We met Mitch at a wedding Fayre and instantly knew he would be a perfect fit for our day. He made us feel comfortable and didn’t shy away from any mad photo ideas we had, we didn’t have the most traditional day but nothing was too much. We cannot recommend SMD enough, they will just add something special to your perfect day.

Fabulous!!

We had such a great service from SMD Photography. Mitch has been proactive in answering all my questions and queries over the past 12 months which reassured us that we'd chosen correctly for Photography. The complimentary photos hoot before the wedding put us both at ease and this is such a good idea to help couples. On the day, Mitch fitted into our day perfectly. He was with us from the moment we got there and you could hardly notice the camera, he actively made sure we were both comfortable and was so flexible with our photo requests - he even showed my husband how to bussle my train on my dress. I would 10000% recommend SMD, even our guests loved Mitch!

The best day

A huge thank you to Mitch for being our photographer and caputuring our special moments. We booked via word of mouth & then we went to NEC wedding show and he had a stand! It was so nice to put a face to the name. We knew then we had made a good decision! Our wedding day was perfect, Mitch was professional but also had a chilled vibe which was ideal! He was friendly, chatty & all our guests commented on how much compassion he has! To top it off he also got some great snaps of our pugs (dogsmen). I would 100000% recommened.

Mr & Mrs Mitchell

We met Mitch and his wife at the wedding show in Birmingham, me and my husband knew straight away we wanted them to shoot our wedding. We got to have a lovely family pre wedding photo shoot at Mitch's studio (which was done outside on the vineyard) Mitch made us all feel very welcome and comfortable. On our beautiful wedding day Mitch made the whole experience smooth and stressless. And he caught some amazing moments that we will have for the rest of our lives to look back on. There is a number of different options for your photo album but not too much to overwhelm. We are so looking forward to receiving our album. In our package we had the photo booth, which all the guests lived and it was a nice touch to the evening. Thanks again Mitch.

Couldn’t ask for a better wedding photographer, Amazing!

Mitch was amazing, all consultations were useful, any time I got in touch the replies were really quick. Mitch is so friendly, made us both feel at ease and comfortable throughout. As we had the Photo Booth he was there all day. The photo booth photos were amazing and we got to keep a copy of everyone’s photos. The photos Mitch took of the whole day were incredible! We were so happy with them all, captured our day perfectly! Would recommend Mitch and SMD photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

We do our best to go above and beyond on each wedding and if we need to get stuck in on the morning and help with stuff we do , we're there to help make the day run as smoothly as possible and stress free for our couples

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book early ! I've seen so many couple's who say " we've got ages to go yet it's 2 years away " I've had couples see us at wedding fayres , loved what they have seen , then go away and have a coffee to think and chat about it and by the time they've come back to book us someone else has booked their date ! Dates go super fast so you're always better to book in early that way you'll get the good suppliers and the one's you want

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

We've had couples dogs in bowties, bridesmaids singing in the pews , to a bride arriving on her horse to the venue, each wedding is so unique which is why we love capturing it for our couples

Describe your typical process with a couple.

All of our couples get an engagement photoshoot at our studio , it's based on a beautiful 40 acre vineyard, so it's the perfect spot to get some stunning photos of our couples, and its also really useful our couples find then for the actual wedding day .

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Id say a good confetti photo, this is always fun , however there's always that one person who need's to make it their mission to get confetti down the grooms shirt or down the dress ! But a good confetti shot is always worth organising

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

oh gosh where to even start with this one hahah we've had some very unusual requests over the years , what would your original idea be ?

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wedding Brollies & even wedding wellies , rain shouldn't stop play, we always try and dash out between showers so you don't miss out on those great shots.

Describe how you got into photography.

With a love for cameras and photography our little company was formed in 2009 and within a year had grown so much to the point where couples were booking n 2/3 years in advance
