FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Probably my first, because the anticipation was like the anticipation you have for your first day at secondary school. I was full of ideas and I still go into shoots now with something new I want to try.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

relaxed, natural, creative, artistic, detailed.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being able to enjoy my work and happy clients is all that really matters!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Prior to your wedding I draw up a photography timeline with my couples. This will mean a clear picture of the day is created and everything will flow naturally from that. Wedding's really are very relaxed and it is a day to enjoy, so I try and make it that way.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initial contact with couple Arrange a meeting in my studio to view albums etc or this can be done over phone, as portfolios are all available online. Deposit paid to secure date. We discuss how the wedding will pan out from a photography point of view 3 weeks prior to the wedding date, this can be carried out over the phone or in my studio (Omagh, Co Tyrone). Full payment is paid. I then scout locations. Wedding day arrives, I normally begin at 10am at the brides address. Once wedding is complete, generally takes 8 weeks to receive your digital images. Albums can then be created from your choice of favorite images. Proof of album is sent to couple. Changes can be made. 3D profile will be sent to the couple so they can really see how the album will look from the exterior. Album collected at my studio within 4 weeks from ordering.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The bride and groom should be given time on their own, where we can create that really natural shots that you can look back on as a happy memory. Rather than having to pose in a way that doesn't mean anything. Relaxed and natural shots will last a lifetime.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I have never been asked to take anything specific. One of my favorite photo's I have taken was at the brides home house, that morning of the wedding. She had a very detailed veil and I wanted to showcase it. I covered half her face with it and it created a really unique image. This image can viewed on my Instagram.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I always scout out venues before all weddings, so what ever happens you can get good photos indoors with a little off camera lighting. I also recommend bringing umbrellas and flats for the girls.

Describe how you got into photography.

I never set out to be a wedding photographer, but as things do in life it all fell into place. From years of photographing portraits and couples it was the natural progression to get into the wedding business.
