Sarah Cook Photography Full Description
I am a professional wedding and event photographer based near Aberystwyth. I cover weddings and events in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. My style of photography is contemporary, natural and relaxed. I capture documentary style images, creative Bride and Groom shots, candid moments from throughout the day as well as providing couples with some of the more classic group photos. I like to work unobtrusively to allow your day to unfold so that I can tell your story in a collection of stunning photographs. I work closely with you in the planning stages to look at your photography in every detail. I can offer you a pre-wedding shoot to help put you at ease so that you are relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. This is a great opportunity for me to get to know you and what you want from your day and also for you to get to know me a little better. On your wedding day I want to capture the emotions and precious moments that make your day special. I am a visual storyteller, documenting your wedding day. I love to shoot those natural, unposed images as well as the more traditional family groups. Allowing time for some special bride and groom shots as well as all the little details that make your wedding day unique. Whether I am with you for just an hour or to tell the story of your entire day I want you to enjoy and celebrate your wedding with your family and friends while I create images that you can treasure a lifetime. I cover all weddings, from just an hour at the ceremony through to a full day package. I offer a beautiful range of wedding albums and storybooks as well as personalised USB's, prints and wall art. All wedding packages include a private online viewing gallery and print ready images on a USB. Contact Sarah for more details.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

All weddings are memorable. Because I spend some time getting to know each of my couples before the big day, there is a personal connection for me to each of my weddings.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, contemporary and relaxed.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I moved from Surrey to Wales. I virtually had to start my business again from scratch. I am proud that I have managed to establish a successful business again here in beautiful Wales.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

A planning meeting with your photographer at the wedding venue's a month before the wedding.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love farm weddings.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I believe it is really important for me to get to know each of my couples before the wedding day so that I can understand what they want from their wedding photography. I am always happy to meet up with a couple during the booking stage so that we can all determine whether or not I am the right photographer to cover their day. The next time I see the couple is for their planning meeting. This is a very thorough and detailed meeting where we look at all details of the day. My coverage on the day will depend on what is required by the couple. Naturally I want to give as much coverage as I possibly can whilst I am with my couple, from the bride and groom shots down to the tiny details that make the day their own. Following the wedding day there is further communication with the couple to determine the finished presentation of their photos and any wedding albums.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Impossible to single out a single photo.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I have photographed wedding ceremonies with horses and dogs, a wedding in a cattle shed and in a lighthouse.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I always advise my couples to buy themselves a wedding brolly, that way it never rains :)

Describe how you got into photography.

I have been involved in the photographic industry all my adult life. Working in photo-journalism, advertising and later as a wedding, portrait and event photographer.
