What is your most memorable wedding?
Each wedding is memorable to me but I recently shot one at a little chateau in the south of France which was a dream! I love destination weddings!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Relaxed, Fun, Friendly, Story telling
What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact that I get to preserve peoples memories is something that I feel very proud of.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Bridebook is amazing for inspiration! Pinterest is also your friend! Lots of fabulous ideas to be found. Social media in general is a fabulous tool so utilise it! Instagram and Facebook have some amazing pages to follow!!!
When it comes to weddings everyone has a different budget and different priorities. I just want to emphasize just how important your wedding photographs are! Please don't skimp on a photographer....we are worth every penny in the long run!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Oh....so many weddings to choose from it's hard to narrow down! There was one wedding where the brides mother had passed away and the car her dad hired for her was named after her mother. That was a lovely touch.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I'm very relaxed and laid back. I like my couples to feel at ease and feel like they have nothing to worry about. I'll be on hand to help with anything needed during the day. From bridal prep (I've been known to sew on a few dress buttons when needed!) calming the bride down in the morning, helping her into her dress if needed and looking after little ones when everyone else is busy, through to the evening any little thing to help and I'm there. When it comes to the photos I much prefer to capture natural moments that tell the story of the day. I won't make a couple stand for hours posing for images. They are there to enjoy the day and want to be able to mingle with their guests and soak in every possible moment! When it comes to the evening party I'm straight on that dance floor getting in amongst everyone to get the most incredible shots of people letting loose!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Each and every couple is different so I don't think there is one photo that fits all! I'll find what suits the couple on the day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I really couldn't say! I don't think one photo stands out to be honest as each wedding is different and unique in it's own way.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace the rain! You'll only wear your dress once so why not make the most of it and create some stunning memories!
Describe how you got into photography.
I grew up with cameras. My dad, uncle and grandad all worked in TV & Film. It was more of a hobby than anything else for a very long time.
Then when my cousin was 18 she died suddenly from meningitis. It was devastating. I didn't have many pictures of her but I had a couple that I'd taken of her with my eldest boy who was only a baby at the time. They were only taken on an old nokia phone, really bad quality but they are still some of my favourite images as I'll never get the chance to take any more.
That's when I decided that I wanted to preserve memories and what better way than capturing the most important moments of peoples lives!
