Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Beautiful, Natural, Honest, Discreet, Timeless
What about your business are you most proud of?
The honesty of my photographs.... I'm not trying to make your day have a pink and fluffy glow, that clearly wasn't there nor will I pose you within an inch of your life... I just capture all the beautiful moments as they really were!!
This I find is a much more relaxed and natural approach, which means you enjoy your day and each other rather than spending hours with a photographer!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Aside from enjoying planning it.... I think my top tip would have to be to keep it simple.....all too often lots of details or lots of things going on can make a wedding quiet fussy, some of the best weddings I've photographed have been really simple. The old "less is more" springs to mind, for example a wedding I photographed at a village church, with home grown wild flowers and sweet pea's, origami butterflies and a village hall venue, turned out to be such a beautiful day. Ok so we all love a beautiful venue, and of course i'll be the first to think about possible photograph spots but sometimes when the details and location are a little more low key, then the feel of family and friends and the actual marriage shines through as the important parts of the day as it should be!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Home-made, knitted heart favours.....I cant imagine how long it must have taken to make them all given there were 50 plus guests, but it was such a lovely touch....and I was so pleased with mine, it still hangs on a door handle in my home today!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Wellies, Brollies and fun fun fun....
We can always talk through back up plans, such as your venue itself, or if this doesn't provide too many options, then maybe a second location. Places such as museums or even public places can make for some interesting photos!
