Ravinder Bindra Photography Full Description
Hi and thanks for visiting. I'm Ravinder and I'm a wedding photographer based in Fife, Scotland. A bit about me – I live in Fife with my family and my wee shih tzu dog. I’m a big foodie - enjoy home made food and eating out, a Man Utd fan, love Netflix and a good cuppa. I enjoy everything photography related and take every opportunity to get my camera out whether that be weddings or shooting landscapes. Why choose me as your wedding photographer? I enjoy photographing people and capturing moments that often go unnoticed. I'm super excited when I get an enquiry from couples as I'm so passionate about what I do and feel very lucky to make a living from something that I care so passionately about. I won't just be a photographer on your day. I will help wherever I can with your day and enjoy it with you and your close ones. Your wedding is going to be an unforgettable day but you never truly realise how fast the day goes and that’s where I come in. I know that I can tell your story in a creative way that no one else can. Couples have often fed back to me about treasured moments that I’ve captured that went unnoticed at the time and that is the way I like to shoot – I like to keep my distance where I can and let the day unfold naturally and capture the detail, big or small. I want to make you feel at ease, after all, it’s your day. This is why I do this job and I feel blessed to be doing something I truly love. If this is something that you’re looking for, then you’re in the right place. Get in touch today so I can help create some new memories for you to treasure. Feel free to read my 5* reviews on Facebook and Google. :) Taking bookings for 2024 – 2026. (When making contact with me, I will always reply within 24hrs. Please also check your junk/spam box as sometimes my reply may be diverted there)

Helpful and flexible
Ravinder was a delight to have at our wedding. We got married in the College Valley in Northumberland at the start of September and the pictures Ravinder took are amazing. He captured the day perfectly and took full advantage of the scenery to take some breath taking shots. We were apprehensive at first to get a photographer as we were on a bit of a budget but we are so glad that we eventually took the plunge! We arranged the photography very last minute but Ravinder was helpful and flexible when arranging the day. We were apprehensive about posing for photos but Ravinder was very patient with us and we always felt at ease. We couldn’t have hoped for a better photographer for our day. Ravinder is a very lovely guy and was very professional, he took lovely photos and was always conscious that it was our special day. Another lovely little touch was the personalised USB with our photos that also came in a little wooden box. A lovely keepsake of our day. We would highly recommend Ravinder for anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

A wedding in the heart of the Northumberland National Park. I will never forget it. The views are to die for, the most amazing couple and the photo opportunities were just endless. I feel very lucky!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Candid, relaxed, traditional, portrait, natural

What about your business are you most proud of?

To be able to do something I absolutely love and give it my all. It beats a 9-5 office job.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book well in advance. Photography/venue/bands/videography especially. We get booked so far in advance that I would hate you to miss out. Don't just look at prices, equally the style is just as important and talk to the photographer before hand.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Happy tear tissues! There is so many to be honest.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Communication is key and that is why I recommend email/phone contact and I also do a face to face meeting upon booking free of charge so we can meet each other and discuss your plans and expectations. Regular contact right up until the day, also happy to meet at the venue in advance also. Contract is also given to give you assurance and peace of mind. A questionnaire is also handed out to you to get information of your day such as scheduling, specific photo requests etc

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Couple portraits after the ceremony. Couples often get overwhelmed on the day which is perfectly understandable and sometimes they don't always leave enough time for certain images. I recommend doing the full group shot first, specific images with close family and friends (I recommend around 10) and then leave about 45-1hr for the couple images, especially whilst its light outside. Other images can be taken in between the day such as between meals etc. I also recommend bridal prep as its a very unique moment to have some lovely images taken with your close bridal party and family and this allows the natural feelings to be captured, the nerves, the excitement as well as some lovely close up images of the details such as the dress, rings, flowers etc.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

The father of the brides first look at his daughter in her dress. Usually taken during bridal prep. I love this image. Can't beat the happy tears. :)

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I will have a plan B in place for rainy days. Indoor photos can be arranged or some nice and creative images in the rain if the couple are up for it such as the 'umbrella shot'.

Describe how you got into photography.

I've had an interest in photography from a young age. Friends always told me I had a 'good eye' for photography. A few years ago after getting a nice bonus from work, I treated myself to my first DSLR camera and I've never looked back since. I started off doing landscape images then I had the opprtunity to shadow a fellow wedding photographer as weddings and I got the bug. I decided to start my own business and have been doing it ever since and I absolutely love it.
