I’m Rach. I’m a fun, colourful wedding photographer and I take awesome photos for couples who are doing that wedding thing their own way. You’re looking for a fun, alternative wedding photographer who gets you. You want a fun, relaxed wedding day with no fuss. You’re planning the party to end all parties.
You want to plan your day, your way and you want super-fun and colourful photos to capture allllll the fun of the day in a relaxed and chilled out way. Well, hey there! I might just be exactly the photographer you’re looking for!
If cheesy poses and forced smiles aren’t your style, you’re in the right place. My approach is all about capturing the real, unscripted moments- from belly laughs to happy tears right down to your granny dancing on the table, I aim to help capture the joy of the day. I want to create images which capture what your wedding FEELS like, not just what it looks like. I'm a documentary photographer, and pride myself on being unobtrusive, and capturing your day in a real, raw, natural way—so your photos will transport you back to that sparkly, joyful feeling every time you look at them.
I'm the one for you if you’re planning a wedding that breaks from tradition and focuses on having an amazing celebration which feels like YOU. Whether you’re hosting a city party, a festival wedding in a field, or an intimate elopement, I love working with non-traditional couples who do things their own way. I'm the wedding photographer for you if:
With experience capturing over 300 weddings since 2017, I'm based in Liverpool, but I travel across the UK to tell fun, unique love stories full of joy.
Ahhh this is so tricky having shot over 300 amazing weddings! I've loved them all in their own way- it's such a privilege to be part of people's best days. Favourite moments include a ceremony being gate-crashed by a turkey, stopping traffic in Liverpool city centre as 200 guests danced to the sounds of a brass band, becoming part of a morris dancers flashmob in Leeds city centre and a couple entering their wedding breakfast to Limp Bizkit, complete with red hats, having just gotten matching tattoos. I love the quiet moments too though- when your parents hold hands during the ceremony, or when a couple sneaks off into the sunset for a moment together. I just bloody love weddings!
Fun, documentary, relaxed, joyful and colourful!
Every last bit of it! My business is my baby, and I've built it up from nothing, into an incredible, thriving business. Having photographed well over 300 amazing couples, I've made friends for life, and take great pride in capturing amazing memories that they will enjoy throughout their lives together. It's an absolute privilege to be invited into a couple's wedding, and I love every last minute of it.
Do it your way. Nothing is too 'you', and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Your wedding should reflect the two of you as a couple, not a picture perfect, cookie-cutter ideal. Rock your day, your way!
I love it when couples include their personalities in their day- one of my favourites was when Amy & Adam said a big f-you to tradition and got married in Vegas, before having a huge mad party in Liverpool, complete with an emo band, live tattoos and the craziest party. ANything which screams you gets a big thumbs up from me.
I like to have a have a chat with my couples during the booking process so that we can have a good chinwag and get to know each other- as you might be spending a big chunk of your wedding day with me, it's super important that you get to know me and feel comfortable. Then, you'll receive a digital booking pack from me, as well as a lovely welcome pack through the post.
Between booking and the big day, we'll chat lots- I'm always on hand for advice, recommendations or just as a sounding board! The next time I'll 'officially' be in touch is 8-10 weeks before your wedding. I send over a questionnaire to plan in all the logistics of the day, and we'll plan in another video call to chat about everything together so that on the day itself you don't have to worry about a thing!
After the wedding you'll receive some lovely previews within a few days, and then your full gallery will be with you in around 4-6 weeks.
Again, every couple is different and there are no rules! But I think all couples should take 15 minutes away from their guests to have a couples session- it gives you chance to catch up. Have a cuddle and decompress away from prying eyes. Plus you get some lovely shots of just you two!
Ohhh sooo many! I've been out for tractor rides with couples, climbed mountains, headed to the beach... i've even had the entire wedding party climb on tables to get an epic shot under an unexpected rainbow! I'm up for anything. You name it, I'll shoot it.
Don't sweat it- I'll always find a way to get you some awesome shots! Or even better- embrace it. I'm always up for dancing in the rain with you! And buy an umbrella, just in case.
I've always been a creative type, studying Contemporary Applied Arts at uni and embarking on a career in Textiles, before spending many years teaching. I first picked up a camera to photograph my family, but got 'hooked' on capturing the joy on people's faces, leading me to decide on weddings and events as a focus. My husband bought me my first 'proper' camera (along with an uncharacteristically romantic post-it note stating "My best investment x", and the rest, as they say, is history!
