What is your most memorable wedding?
This has to be my very first proper wedding.
The couple both ran a dance school together, so their first dance was far from a typical slow dance and a big group of their student put on a dance performance for them. It was defiantly a lively dancefloor and one I won't forget.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Candid, Emotive, Relaxed, Unobtrusive
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm incredibly proud of how far my business has come over the past three years.
Watching my brand grow and evolve has been an amazing journey, from building a loyal following to receiving heartfelt reviews that reaffirm why I do what I do. My confidence has grown alongside it, and I’m truly honored to be a part of someone’s wedding day in such a meaningful way—capturing moments that will stay with them forever. It’s a privilege to create memories that couples will look back on for years to come, and that’s something I’m grateful for every single day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax, and take time to truly enjoy your day!
One thing I always recommend is to keep formal group shots to a minimum. While they’re lovely, each one can take up to 5 minutes to organise at times, which adds up quickly. Instead, focus on soaking up the natural, candid moments that make the day unforgettable. And don’t forget to take some time out just for yourselves! It’s not only a beautiful moment to breathe and reflect, but it’s also perfect for capturing those intimate couple photos you’ll cherish forever.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I absolutely love when couples incorporate meaningful, personal elements into their day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I love starting things off with a relaxed, no-pressure chat—ideally over a drink (tea for me!).
Meeting in person is always fantastic, but a Zoom or video call works just as well if that’s more convenient.
This is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your likes and dislikes, and talk about what you envision for your big day.
Another option I offer is a pre-wedding photo session. It’s a fun way for us to get comfortable with each other and for you to feel at ease in front of the camera before the big day. This session can help you feel more relaxed and natural, making your wedding photos even more beautiful and authentic.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
While my work is primarily documentary style, I believe every couple should definitely make time for personal portraits. These moments give you a chance to have some 'you' time, and they allow me to capture the unique connection between you two.
I aim to keep these portraits fun and natural, often with a touch of dramatic skies or beautiful backgrounds to add a bit of magic. These photos become cherished keepsakes that beautifully reflect your love and the special atmosphere of your day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
One of the most unique and unforgettable photos I’ve been asked to take involved a bit of unexpected drama! I was informed ahead of time that the bride’s mother had a pacemaker and occasionally had issues that might require medical attention. During the reception, her pacemaker did indeed act up, leading to an ambulance being called. I was advised to keep photographing as if everything was normal, so I did.
The most original photo from that day? The bride’s mother in the back of the ambulance, with a sick bowl (empty) perched on her head—her own humorous touch to lighten the situation. It was an unexpected moment that truly captured the unique spirit of the day!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
If rain decides to make an appearance on your big day, don’t worry—we can absolutely make the most of it! Embrace the weather with some stylish umbrellas and wellies, and make sure you have a few helpful bridesmaids or groomsmen ready to assist. Rain can actually add a beautiful, dramatic touch to your photos, creating unique and memorable moments. So, let’s go with the flow and turn a rainy day into a special part of your wedding story!
white umbrella for the bride and rainbow-coloured brollies for the bridesmaids looks very striking.
Describe how you got into photography.
I’ve always had a deep love for photography and a desire to make my photos even better. I dove into learning and improving my skills, and word of mouth along with recommendations played a huge role in helping me grow. Many of my wonderful clients from when I first started are still with me today.
For me, every day is an opportunity to learn and explore new creative approaches. Photography is a constantly evolving field, and I love discovering fresh ways to capture moments and tell stories through my lens.
