I am so proud of starting my own photography business with 2 kids under the age of 3 back in 2011! Taking the leap from employment to self employment was scary but the best thing I ever did!! I get to do what I love for work!!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My tip is to do things the way you want to! Lots of family & friends will have an opinion but it's your day do it your way
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love seeing images of the couple throughout a venue, in guest books, multi and different frames. The complimentary pre shoot I offer is great for this
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Most couples now book me online, my website shows my style and I hope it reflects my personality. However I do believe it is important to meet up before the day which is why I include a FREE Pre Shoot with all my bookings. I call them a Getting To Know You session as that is what they are about. Getting to know each other, helping couples feel comfortable with me ahead of the day and giving some guidance on how to get the best photos all while having fun!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
My fav shots are just the natural one, real laughs instead of posed smiles but my most favourite image to get is when the groom first sees his bride (bonus points if there are tears lol)
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Pinterest has a lot to answer to thats all I'm saying lol
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Most venues now have instead space but grab an umbrella and get out for some shots too, your dress will dry out and the images last a lot longer. I don't mind getting wet lol
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always had a camera in hand from I was little with my little film camera, I get it from my dad. When I had my kids I knew it was the path I was suppose to take. I took some shots at my sister's wedding and everyone then encourage me to take it up professional. I set up a facebook page, went on some workshops and the rest is history,10 years later I've shot countless weddings and family portraits.
