Michelle Williams Photography Full Description
My style is natural and relaxed, but delivered in an artistic and creative way, producing authentic images that capture the ambiance of your day. I look not only to capture those key moments but the ‘in-between’ moments too, the smaller and finer details that serve to create a visual story board that will evoke memories for you to look back on and remember for years to come. I'm inspired by filmic pastels, cool greens, crisp whites and luminous palettes, integrated with beautiful black & whites, an aesthetic that will still look great in years to come.

When we had a chat to Michelle we knew we had found the right photographer for us, she is patient and creative and put us at ease on the day. How she captured so many details I will never know, but as a result of her hard work we have been able to re-live so many memories and feelings from our day, thanks to the photographs she took.

Michelle is a fantastic photographer with a real talent in capturing special moments that can easily get forgotten about as time goes by. She was the photographer at our wedding and we have spent many nights looking over our pictures, laughing and reminiscing, she captured the true characters of our guests, and managed to capture those special moments between the bride and groom that remind you both of why you’re getting married in the first place. A true professional with an amazing style of photography, that really captures your day in its entirety.

Michelle did our wedding and she was amazing great communication plus offering her expert advice. She made us feel so at ease throughout, nothing was to much trouble and she was soo approachable on the day but also blended in (to capture the natural shots) which we love. That was definitely a plus point for us as we wanted to enjoy our day. Would highly recommend Michelle

Michelle is a an amazing wedding photographer. She is sensitive, creative and you barely notice she is there when at work. She also captures the most amazing unexpected moments/shots. She makes all the guests feel comfortable and provides amazing and patient aftercare. I could not recommend her more. She’s fantastic!!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Every wedding is a privilege to be able to capture, but I did enjoy a wedding I did in Gretna Green early this year, it was such a fun day. More recently a festival themed wedding was great fun. To be honest I enjoy them all.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Timeless, Storytelling, reportage, lifestyle, unobtrusive

What about your business are you most proud of?

My ability to document your special day in its entirety from the reportage shots, through to groups, portraits & details. Also my conscientious attitude and pre/post communication, along with my after sales service on prints and albums.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Dont get too tense and worried about planning to the last detail. You can't repeat the day so just enjoy it, everything else will fall into place.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A note from a loved one who had passed, pinned onto the brides dress.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After our initial contact usually by email, I will then call you to have a chat and fine out a little more about you and what you are looking for. From there we can either meet up face to face and go through things in a bit more detail, this gives me a chance to show you my work in person and in print. Approx 6 weeks before the wedding we'll set up a consultation to go through all the timings for the day, and any shot requests. Then its time to get really excited....its your big day!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I'm a sucker for a confetti shot, but really each couple and wedding is unique to them, so I prefer to let the day unfold naturally and work around this.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Its all about moments, a special glance, a touch of the hand, a secret moment between the couple. I do like my nobbly knees pic from a scottish wedding I did in Gretna though, it makes me chuckle. I am glad they stopped at the knees!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

A lovely see though umbrella or white (which I happen to have) for those romantic shots outside, a sense of humor and flexibility, and looking for areas inside the venue that would lend itself to a nice composition. Additional lighting if required inside.

Describe how you got into photography.

I started in Landscape photography and then branched out into doing events, commercial projects and weddings. I now concentrate mostly on the Wedding side of my business as I get great satisfaction and pride from the work and enjoy meeting the newly weds and their families.
