I’m Jamie, the photographer behind Le Beau Photography. I’m based in Essex but travel all over the UK and Europe capturing weddings for relaxed couples who want their day photographed naturally—without posing, pressure or awkwardness.
My style is natural, candid and editorial. I focus on genuine moments and real emotion, while still creating beautifully crafted portraits that feel effortless and true to you. I blend into your day like a friend with a camera, quietly documenting every laugh, tear and in-between moment as it unfolds.

What is your most memorable wedding?
That's really hard to choose as I realy have loved every wedding i have been lucky to be part of, but there are a slect few weddings that just stay iin my memory more then others. I call them Unicorn Weddings, and that's when you get a mixture of the perfect couple, the perfect venue, the perfect everything or jsut something that happens thats pure magical and one of them moments was when I was capturing a wedding of the loveliest couple who unfortunately had terrential rain all day, untii there meal where the sun came out and we got a stunning rainbow. The couple didn't hesitate, they went out and got the most beautiful photos, even if it did ruin the dress, it was totally worth it.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of the way my couples feel when they’re with me. Time and time again they tell me I made them feel calm, comfortable and completely themselves—and that the photos captured who they truly are. It’s not just about delivering beautiful images, it’s about the experience and the trust they place in me to tell their story honestly and with heart. That connection, and the joy my couples feel when they relive their day through their gallery, is what I’m most proud of.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my favourite personal touches I've ever seen was a “crisp wall” — an entire display filled with packets of crisps for guests to grab during the evening celebrations. It was such a simple idea but everyone absolutely loved it. It brought out so much personality, got people laughing, and created brilliant candid moments. It’s those fun, unexpected touches that really reflect a couple’s vibe and make the day feel uniquely them.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My process is really relaxed and focused on getting to know you as a couple.
We usually start with a chat—either in person or over video call—to hear about your plans and what matters most to you. From there, I help build a photography timeline that fits naturally into your day, without ever taking over or pulling you away for long periods.
In the lead-up to the wedding, I’m always on hand for support and advice, and closer to the day I send a simple questionnaire to make sure everything is covered.
On the day itself, I work quietly in the background capturing real moments as they unfold, stepping in only when needed for gentle direction during portraits. After the wedding, I send a preview gallery within a few days so you can relive the magic straight away, before delivering the full gallery beautifully edited and ready to enjoy.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Golden Hour Photos, If you are lucky to have one, then you must go out and watch the sunset for the first time as a married couple.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The groom's dad putting on the groom's socks!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it—rainy days can be incredibly atmospheric and romantic.
I always recommend having a couple of clear umbrellas on hand (they photograph beautifully), trusting your photographer to find good light indoors, and leaning into the mood of the day rather than fighting it. Rain brings reflections, movement and emotion—and often creates some of the most memorable, cinematic images. Some of my favourite photos ever were taken in the rain!
Describe how you got into photography.
I actually started with film photography when my grandad gave me his Pentax 1000 film camera—a camera I still own today, and it still works perfectly. That gift is what sparked it all. There was something magical about slowing down, being intentional with every frame and waiting for the moment rather than chasing it. That early experience with film shaped the way I shoot weddings today—focusing on real emotion, natural light and honest storytelling over anything staged or forced.
