What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding to date was my first post-lockdown wedding in July 2020. Held at Magheramorne Estate, after a few months of not shooting weddings it was just such a lovely and joy-filled day. The couple had faced (as with any COVID couple!) constant changing of plans and uncertainty, so it was amazing to see their day finally go-ahead and come out so perfectly.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, candid, artistic, relaxed, unique
What about your business are you most proud of?
I moved myself and my business to Northern Ireland from Portland, Oregon in 2015. It was certainly challenging starting from scratch in the wedding industry and starting new relationships with vendors and couples, but I wouldn't change a thing!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan your day exactly how you want it, not anyone else! It's important to take advice but at the end of the day it's your wedding and you want the day to be just as you imagined it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Anything that shows off their personal style or intimate memories between them! Whether that's a unique dress or funny inside jokes, I love to see your personality shine through!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually, I'd arrange either a video or in-person consultation where we talk about your day. What you're looking for, where it's at, important bits and bobs. From there I'd take a 20% deposit to secure your day alongside a contract. Leading up to the wedding I'd get all the important info like times and addresses and must-have shots. Next up is the wedding day!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A moment just between the two of you, right after the ceremony. The joy and happiness are just so new and palpable!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Clear umbrellas and a willingness to get a wee bit wet!
Describe how you got into photography.
I started photography while I was in uni as a hobby. It continued to grow and I fell in love with capturing people. Their love, stories and every little moment in between.
