Documentary style photography to capture your wedding in a way that will help you relive the fun and emotion experienced through your day. I offer a second shooter which is great for capturing different aspects of the wedding and keeping an eye on all your guests while they enjoy the day (and the bar). I love to keep things relaxed and not have stiff group shots, I like to photograph people and families as true to their personalities and relationships as I can. I pride myself in blending in throughout the day and capturing those truly candid moment from couples and their guests. Alongside the runnings of the day, one of my favourite things to do is hijack the bride and groom for those one-on-one wedding shots (at which point the time away from everyone is much appreciated the bride and groom). I hate to pull the couple away from the party though so alongside the shots on the day, I like to offer a styled wedding shoot after the day it's self where we can get some images without feeling like you're missing your guests. Couldn't love my pictures more !!

Helena photographed my wedding on a beautiful day in May. The pictures are like watching my favourite movie in slow motion, every single moment captured perfectly and there are even moments when I hadn't even realised she was in the room! None of the 'typical' posed portraits, just natural flawless images of my favourite people and loved ones. Had so many comments on the pictures, everyone loved how natural they are and how fantastic the views at the hotel are captured whilst still focus on the the wedding party. Couldn't be happier !

What about your business are you most proud of?

I've had some really thoughtful reviews from couples in the past saying how I had put them as ease with the photography and the general runnings of the day. Fixing dresses, doing bridesmaids hair last minute and climbing trees for photos are some of my highlights from couples.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

I would love to say my number one tip would be to remind you that you're marrying the person you love, but I've had so many couples tell me they weren't prepared for the next days hangover which makes my top tip to drink lots of water and don't skip out on any food!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

It was at a very home made reception in the Lake District and they had potted herbs as the centre pieces with notes saying which meal they would compliment that the guests were having. These were dotted between garden flowers and for such a simple decoration it really stuck in my head.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The almost kiss! It sounds strange, usually the look a couple give each other just before they kiss is so loving! I think it's a powerful photo to cherish.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

One of the bridesmaids drove to the venue is a open top beetle and the bride was adamant that her and the 8 bridesmaids will get in it for a photo. They did and it was great!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Embrace it! I'll bring the umbrellas.

Describe how you got into photography.

My dad has always been interested in photography so i've grown up with cameras and taking photos. I got my first camera when I was 3 and since has been known for always taking photos of my friends, no matter the occasion. The day I realised that this wasn't just a trait and could actually form a career I was ecstatic and have worked hard ever since.
