What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding is unique whether it is big or small, however I think the festive wedding I photographed at Holkham Hall's Marble Room, has to be one of my favourites. People often overlook winter weddings, but they can be just as beautiful as the summer!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, relaxed, vibrant, natural, candid
What about your business are you most proud of?
I started my business straight out of college, with experience in photography and video but no idea on how to run my own business, so it makes me very proud to see how far I've come from when I first started! Some of my commercial work has been shown in my local cinema and has also been featured on Songs Of Praise and I have also won an award from some promotional videos I produced for a charity run organisation in my local town!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make a list of your favourite suppliers and be sure to book them well in advance, to avoid any disappointment. Popular dates get booked up very quickly and I can take bookings up to 2 years in advance!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
If you are interested in my wedding photography, I will send you my e-brochure and arrange a video call to discuss the finer details, before you make a decision. If you are happy to go ahead, I just require a £200 deposit and the signing of a contract to confirm your booking. Your pre-wedding photo shoot can take place anytime prior to your wedding day, just let me know in advance the dates you're available. The deposit is then due 2 weeks before your wedding day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There are so many important parts of a wedding day and it is difficult to say, but couple photographs during golden hour are extremely special and worth taking time out of your day for (even if it's between courses during your wedding breakfast) the images will be so worth it!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Always have a back up plan in case the weather changes! If you are having an outdoor wedding, ask your venue what their plan is if it rains and have an indoor location set up ready for this scenario. Group photos may need to be taken indoors in a room that is well lit, but couple photos in the rain can look absolutely stunning, especially once it's dark! I always bring an umbrella with me for you both to hold which can also create some awesome portrait shots! But the bottom line is, don't be afraid of bad weather, we can always work around it and your day will still be amazing!
Describe how you got into photography.
After studying media at high school and college, I created my own website and began shooting local events for free or at a very low price to build up a portfolio. In 2015, I was lucky enough to be approached to photograph a wedding and later that year I was also asked to film a wedding! I've not looked back since and I can honestly say that I love my job and feel so lucky to have a career in the subject I adore.
