What is your most memorable wedding?
I photographed a fairytale wedding at Langley Castle in Northumberland. The Bride and Groom later emigrated to New Zealand.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The brother of the bride proposed to his fiance by handing her the brides boquet when she was about to throw in in time honoured fashion.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I meet and listen to what the couples view of the photography is.I then balance a package that closest matches their needs.I am avaialble any time after the booking until one month before the wedding,when we have another meeting.I then discuss at length how the photography will go and make notes to use on the day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Pictures with their parents.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The bride had her show jumping horse brought to the Venue and was photographed both alongside and riding it..
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Have a plan B sorted well before the wedding day and big white umbrellas at the ready.
Describe how you got into photography.
I had an interest in film photography and photographed my first wedding in the late 1980s. Later on I was employed as a Manager in a scientific coatings company and I used to take product shots for the company magazine.This was at the time when digital photography was taking over so I had access to the latest equipment.I decided to do wedding photography in 2009 and have never looked back...
