What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the personal connections I build with my couples. I genuinely care about their stories and ensure that I capture not just the moments, but the emotions and essence of their special day.
Being able to create timeless, beautiful memories that couples can look back on forever is what drives me. The fact that so many of my clients have become friends and return for future milestones is something that truly warms my heart and is a testament to the trust and bond I create with them.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's easy to get caught up in trends, opinions and expectations from others, but remember that your wedding day is about celebrating your love and creating memories that are meaningful to you. Focus on the elements that will make your day special. Whether it's the atmosphere, the people, the food or the personal touches and let go of the pressure to make everything perfect.
This will help keep the planning process enjoyable and reduce stress!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favorite personal touches at weddings are the ones that truly reflect the couple’s personality and story. I love seeing personalized decor, like custom signage or family heirlooms! That make the space feel intimate and meaningful. Handwritten vows are always incredibly moving. They bring a raw, emotional element to the ceremony. I’m also a fan of surprise performances or tributes to loved ones as they add a special, heartfelt moment. Memory tables with photos of those who can’t be there and of course, personalized favors that tell a story or represent the couple’s shared passions are a beautiful thoughtful way to make guests feel extra special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I start by getting to know each couple to understand what’s most important to them when it comes to their wedding photography. We have a conversation a few weeks before the big day to go over all the details and ensure everything runs smoothly. On the wedding day, I focus on capturing the real, beautiful moments that align with their vision, ensuring they get photos that exceed their expectations and tell the story of their special day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I think the No. 1 photo every couple should take is the quiet, intimate moment between just the two, whether it’s right after the ceremony or during a quiet moment in the day.
It’s a chance to capture the raw emotion, the love and the bond between the couple, away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding.
This is the moment where it’s just them, in their own little world, reflecting on the significance of the day. It’s a timeless photo that will always evoke powerful emotions whenever they look back at it.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Rain on your wedding day can create such unique and beautiful moments! If you're up for the adventure, couple shots in the rain can be absolutely stunning.
Plus, rain brings a cozy, intimate vibe that adds something special to your photos. Most importantly, surround yourself with the people you love, stay relaxed and enjoy the day. It’s all part of the unforgettable experience!
Describe how you got into photography.
My journey into photography began with a passion for creativity and a love for capturing beautiful moments. Initially, I took small courses and had the privilege of being mentored by some fantastic photographers, while also learning through self-teaching.
I started my career in the wedding industry by assisting seasoned professionals, which gave me the confidence to eventually launch my own business.
What truly draws me to wedding photography is the storytelling aspect, the raw emotions and the love shared between couples. It’s not just about taking photos, it's about preserving those precious moments forever.
