HI, I'M ELLIE! AN EMOTIVE FINE ART WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, BASED IN THE SOUTHWEST AND COVERING WEDDINGS NATIONWIDE. I am passionate about capturing love and human connection on a wedding day.
MY FAMILY IS EVERYTHING, WHICH IS WHY I THRIVE ON BEING SURROUNDED BY AND CAPTURING THE LOVE IN WEDDINGS AND OTHER PEOPLES FAMILIES. I’m originally from Essex, now living in Bristol. A wife to a wonderful man, mother of strong-willed girls and dog-mum to a feisty terrier. My family are my motivation and inspiration, they are the reason I love to capture the real bond between people and take photographs that will be treasured for a lifetime.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Tina and Sally got married at Tunnels Beach in Ilfracombe and threw the BEST party ever. Tina is a DJ and Sally works in the West End so music was a huge focus of their wedding and we partied until the early hours having the most fun. The full day was full of so much love and acceptance, I have never been so openly welcomed into a couples day by family and friends.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Romantic, Modern, Emotive, Rich tones and atmospheric.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Making my couples feel at ease when having their photograph taken. I am often described as calming or reassuring, a key part for me capturing authentic moments is making my clients feel comfortable with me so they can trust my process.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

YOU DO YOU! The best weddings and photographs are those that completely reflect you as a couple and focus on the most important thing- your marrying your best friend.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Bride Emily had flowers from every generations wedding bouquet in her wedding florals. Such a personal nod to her nan and her mother.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

For couples photographs I use relaxed prompts and guilded poses with movement to keep you relaxed. Most of the time I will ask you to chat to each other, that way your connection come through and I can photograph that personal sparkle.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The Happy Cuddles. Some of my favourite photos are purely just you, standing with each other, looking at each other having a chat/giggle - those freshly married happy smiles are top tier gold.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Be prepared or embrace it! If you adamant you do not want to go outside for photos, be sure to pick a venue which has an inside option for group photos and portraits that you're happy with. Other than that, just embrace the madness with umbrellas or get a bit wet- some of the most atmospheric moments are in the moody skies. Think the notebook!

Describe how you got into photography.

I studied photography at university and then fell into the world of sales after graduating. After having my daughter I wanted to have a career I was passionate about and proud of, taking my photography full time was the best decision I've ever made (after my husband of course!)
