Wedding
I’ve know Dave Hayward for a longtime and have been involved with his Cycling work so he was my first Choice for my wedding photographer as a friend and knowing what he can produce. We were not disappointed with what Dave did for us. Your wedding is one of the most important events in your life so it’s nice to know that your photos are in good hand, I can not recommend Dave enough for the way he handled and made everyone feel at ease when taking our wedding photos.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

All of them so far. Every wedding is special because they are so different.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Discreet, capturing the moment, understanding the day, attention to detail, with experience.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being creative, being out there, being part of a great day.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Have Fun, and research your photographers don't go with fancy words on a website

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The Look, the touch, that gives meaning to the day

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Every couple are different so there is no typical process. The only time I spend with the couple is at the pre wedding meeting to understand them and there day, listening to them gong through their plans with talking ideas.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

What I think doesn't matter, it's what the couple want. The photo that sums up the day is a shot of them looking into each other's eyes when they don't know the camera is pointing at them. The moment that is easily missed.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I've not been asked, but I tend to come up with ideas based on the wedding theme if any.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Go with it, have some umbrellas, leave the rest to me.

Describe how you got into photography.

Always had a camera, studied photography at school, didn't go well was a little too slow with the theory, became a competitive cyclists for 20 years. Had a very bad motorcycle accident which ended my cycling, I was told I wouldn't walk properly again. I bought a camera with the insurance money and went out photographing events. Walking fine now. 4 years ago the day job ended, to create an income I'm continuing to photograph people, events and weddings, building my photography business as I go along, It's what I should of done years ago.
