What is your most memorable wedding?
A fantastic wedding at the Leeming House hotel next to Ullswater at the Lakes, a fabulous drag queen was present to conduct the ceremony. One of the most 'lively' weddings I have photographed.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, Natural, Artistic, Calming & Friendly
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our ability to get even the most nervous couple to be comfortable in front of the camera. I take pride giving the absolute best service I can give and hope the reviews are proof of that.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
timings - as a photographer I try to help with as much as possible for couples to stick to their schedule, by giving couples as much information before the wedding on how long certain photography takes helps them keep time with their venue. The key to a great set of images is not to rush.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
An outdoor wedding barbecue - the bride & groom served all their guests dinner - it was such a lovely interaction from the couple with all of their guests.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I'm a planner by nature so I like to ensure all weddings are thoroughly planned and discussed. After booking , the couple will receive a number of Questionnaires to complete, this is followed up by a pre-wedding meeting before the big day to go over timings and finalise arrangements.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A showstopper - give your photographer the opportunity to make magic for you at least one during your wedding photography session.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Haha - I have so many unusual requests - recently was asked to photograph a bride in the middle of a shallow river in her wedding dress - not totally out of the ordinary but she was going to her wedding breakfast after photos.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrella & Pair of wellies!! - Seriously though, rain can add a touch of drama to wedding images, but equally bad weather forces creativity indoors which can produce equally stunning images.
Describe how you got into photography.
A lifelong interest and hobby became a lifeline during the financial crisis back in 2008 - Started a studio and wedding photography business. I now focus primarily on Weddings & Boudoir (bridal).
