Welcome, I am Colin Turtle and am a photographer based with a studio just outside Broughshane near Ballymena, County Antrim in Northern Ireland.I am available for weddings across all of Northern Ireland and beyond.
I love taking photographs of people and places.We can never understate the power of a beautifully presented photograph that captures a moment in time, an emotion, a character and that is displayed for all to see in a beautiful album or frame. Beautiful Photographs should be displayed and presented for all to see.
Every wedding or Portrait is totally unique and I have a relaxed approach that puts clients at their ease.I like people to enjoy the experience, so that they are relaxed and you can really see that in the photographs. For me it is all about capturing emotion, fun, laughter tears and those special once in a lifetime moments and all those special little moments that only occur once.

What is your most memorable wedding?
The first one is always memorable and in this case it was a small intimate wedding with only a few guests but full of joy and emotion. Then there are others that are so much fun and laughter. Its difficult to pick out he most memorable as every wedding is very different and memorable in its own way.

Relaxed, fun, classic, contempory, timeless
What about your business are you most proud of?
The ability to produce wonderful images that capture the story of one of the most important days in any couples lives. Especially when these are then designed into an album that can become a family heirloom for years.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax, have fun and take time to enjoy the day
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A wedding where the groom was a stone mason, he had hand carved a wedding message to his bride on a specially cut piece of stone, which was later to be embedded on a wall of their new home .
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We meet for an informal chat to discuss ideas and exactly what the couple want and then formulate a plan for the day to allow time for photographs but also time for them to relax and meet friends and guests .

There are so many its impossible to pick only 1
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The men of a bridal party who were all body builders, who stripped off to waistcoats only to show off some very impressive muscle
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas!

It has always been a passion of mine as far back as a teenager in school
