Cluskey Smith Weddings Full Description
We’re all about real moments, good friends, celebrating life, family gatherings and funny faces. We don't pose, direct or stage anything. If you're looking at our photos and smiling and you don't even know these people, imagine how you'll feel when you're seeing your loved ones with you in these pictures. We don’t take photos for our portfolio or to win awards, we take photos with personality that we think will mean the world to you and your family for generations.

Everything you captured is bringing back how happy
ARGH! Guys! These are absolutely incredible, oh man. It's a great thing it's a relatively quiet day at work because any productivity is out the window now, I wanna stare at these all day long! Everything you captured is bringing back how happy and warm and fuzzy everything felt on the day!! Cannot thank you guys enough, you are both so amazing!

Thank you again! What memories!
We just wanted to say, almost a year on, another humungous thank you for making our day this time last year so utterly wonderful. I have spent the last few days looking at all the photos and watching the videos, they bring back such lovely memories, you all captured our day so perfectly. We're heading back up to Yorkshire this weekend to celebrate with George's family, and spend time remembering our special day.

FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

The one with the whole wedding party singing "Hey Jude" like it was a football match. The one where the whole thing was Alice in Wonderland themed until the first dance and the bride and groom danced to "you got a friend in me" in dinosaur costumes. The one the bride fell asleep during the speeches. The one where the bride wore a predator mask. The one where the bride danced down the aisle to "Jump in the line" The one with the ABBA tribute band. The one where the groom split his trousers on the dance floor. The one with Esther Rantszen. The one with John Richardson. The one that took us back to Spiders Nightclub. The one where the bride insisted on a photo in a rapeseed field next to the big pile of horse manure you've seen in your life. The one where the best man made the worst speech ever. The one where we danced to cotton eyed joe. The one with the pizza dance (can't even explain it). The one with Wagamamas. The one with the flower girl in the Joker mask. The one where the best man ripped his shirt off and walked around looking like a chippendale. The one with the impromptu folk music. The one were the guests broke the £2500 chair. The one with Extra Joss. The one where we all danced in the rain. The one with the dog on the dance floor. The one with Boris the cat. The one with the dog in a tux. The one where everyone did the electric slide. You get the picture... it's more than just a job for us, we actually really love celebrating with great people.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Honest, genuine, individual, alternative, fun.

What about your business are you most proud of?

We love the way we connect with our couples and that we're able to capture great memories for them.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Write a list of things you feel are most important for your day and organise/ purchase in that order. That way you don't blow your budget on balloons before you discover that band/ dress/ flowers you really wanted :)

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Marmaduke the boxer dog as one of the groomsmen, but wearing a tux, while the groom work jeans and tweed jacket.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We don't have a process, we simply embrace the chaos. We're not here to manage your day and tell you what to do. We just hang out with you and your guests and get some great photos of you all having a ball.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A selfie. With us. Seriously, it'll be the worst photo from your wedding day.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Enjoy yourself, you can't control the weather.

Describe how you got into photography.

We both went to art school, Alex studied graphics and digital media and Jenni has an MA in Fine Art. We've always enjoyed photography and have been lucky enough to make a career out of it. We particularly like photographing weddings because we love the unpredictability, the emotion and spending time with people on the best day of their lives. It's awesome and a great privilege! Our toddler has also got the photography bug, we've just got to convince him that he's in fact holding the camera the wrong way around about 80% of the time.
