What is your most memorable wedding?
Apart from my own, I can remember a part of each wedding I've photographed. Every wedding has that little something that makes them so wonderfully unique and memorable. It's my job to capture it!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, vibrant, fresh, fun, and relaxed.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proud of helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do what's right for you, don't sweat the small stuff!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Every guest had their own wedding favour that was unique to their likes and interests. The couple must have spent hours thinking about gifts for each of their guests which I thought was very touching.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
An initial chat so I can understand the goals for your big day. We get excited. I plan. We visit the venue where possible. We work together to fine-tune the details. The fun happens. I edit. You get a sneak peek of your photos. I continue editing. You receive your gallery and kick back to reminisce about your day. We discuss. I produce your album. You receive it with my love. I hope to see you again!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
For me it's simple. Natural and candid shots of you chatting together and enjoying the moment.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I waded into the sea (armpit deep) to capture the bride, groom, and guests holding hands and running into the sea. Yep, it was fun!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
The best advice is, don't worry about it! I have a collection of gorgeous umbrellas so, if you're feeling brave, we can venture out for some fun shots in the rain.
Describe how you got into photography.
I enjoyed taking photos as a child. My dad bought a semi-professional camera when I was a teenager and I used it more than him! I progressed my love for art and photography at university and honed my skills working in a studio for 6 years. I then started a family and my wedding photography business. I'm a very lucky girl living my dream!
