What is your most memorable wedding?
I photographed a wedding in the south of France, overlooking the beautiful French Alps on a beautiful sunny day! We all stayed in the chateau for the weekend too which was really lovely.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
I would describe my style as natural, colourful, timeless, vibrant and relaxed
What about your business are you most proud of?
In the first year of my business, I photographed 18 weddings and one was in France!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy the process and get help from the people around you! When it comes to your photography, it's just as important to find someone you feel comfortable with rather than just liking their work... you will be spending a lot of time together on the day, so you want your photographer to be someone with a positive energy, who will be putting you first and looking out for you during the day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I attended a wedding where the groom had 2 daughters and the bride was becoming their step-mum. The celebrant gave each of them a pot of coloured sand, which they each poured in to a heart-shaped glass jar creating stripes and blending their colours together. It was a symbol of them joining together as a family and was a beautiful token for them to take home.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After enquiring and confirming your date is available, I will arrange a pre-wedding consultation either face to face or on zoom, to get to know you both and find out more about your day. I also go through the packages and work out which would best suit my clients requirements. Once the booking fee is received your date is added to my diary. On the lead up to your wedding I will keep in touch and also pull together a wedding schedule for me to follow, including timings and important contact details, so a copy of this is sent through to you too. On the day, I am your personal cheerleader, photographer and friend, making sure your day is everything you hoped it would be!
The following day, I aim to get a sneak preview of 5-10 photos sent through to you, so you have something to show friends and family straight after and keep reliving your beautiful wedding.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I love a confetti shot! It's not every day you get to walk under a shower of confetti and they are always fun to look back at years later! I usually recommend doing this walking back up the aisle or through your wedding guests a little after the ceremony!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A photo requested from one of my grooms who was in a wheelchair - he wanted to set up a photo with his groomsmen, each holding a different part of the chair and doing 'maintenance' on it ready for the big day! It was a fun shot to capture and I love the result!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Plenty of under-cover space for guests and transparent umbrellas! Plus a positive attitude! Living in England we are often faced with a rainy day for a wedding, so try to embrace it as much as you can, hunt for nice spots indoors to do your photos or get outside and face the weather in style!
Describe how you got into photography.
I started photography as a hobby during high school and have always loved capturing moments in time, especially during my travels. Over 10 years later, in 2021, I decided to turn my hobby into a career and haven't looked back since. It's such an honour being able to capture someones wedding day and meet so many wonderful people along the way.
