My approach to photography is simple because to me, moments can not and should not be manufactured, fabricated, posed or faked. They are specific to a time, a place, a memory and I guess you could say, I’m a hunter-gatherer of those moments. I want to capture the raw essence of your day.
I love to capture honest and authentic images and like to shoot all of my weddings as unobtrusively and as non disruptively as physically possible. I do my very best to not interfere and like to let the day naturally evolve into what it is - whilst being in the right place at the right time.
I personally don’t like to define what I do as I think it’s super restrictive to say I only do ‘this’ or ‘that’ so it’s simple - if I had to describe what I do in a phrase or a set of words it would be that I’m a storyteller, a chaser of light and I document your day as it happens. Ambient light can really help to tell a story through image and you won’t see me running around with flash on my camera during the day - it only comes out to play at night to help create make dance floor magic.
Choosing a photographer is NOT an easy task as there are a lot of us out there offering a lot of different things but, I want every couple who chooses me to have faith and trust in me. My more relaxed approach to photography may not be for everyone and that’s totally okay. For example, one minute I’ll be snapping a super sweet moment shared between your parents - the next, I’ll be cracking out photos of that friend of yours who’s fallen on the floor after having one too many tequilas. You know the one. If it happened, chances are there’s going to be a photo of it. And that’s my style to a tee.
I want to tell the story of the two of you, and if you’re a fun-loving couple who wants to break away from tradition and who wants real, rad images of their day - then you know who to call.
