What is your most memorable wedding?
I photographed a wedding in Casa De Laila in Spain and it was simply stunning!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Romantic, Fun, Relaxed, Unposed, authentic
What about your business are you most proud of?
The connection I have with my clients - I have become life long friends to many of my couples. Who often stay in touch. All my reviews say 'its like having a good friend there capturing our day'
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book a photographer that you love, their work has to speak to you and if it does then it has made an impression a connection, its moved you, I think that is really important.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
For me its the attention to detail on the little things - decorations that have meaning to the couple, I have seen so many different personal touches centred round the table decorations I thought it was very cool and heart warming to get an insight to the couple and what is important and meaningful to them
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Its a very relaxed process, I am just me hanging out with my couples taking pictures of the day. Thats best way to describe it. I take a lot of pride in my work and its so important to me that they are comfortable and that we have a giggle. Bridal prep is where I help calm the nerves of the bride, help out where I can and take pictures sneakily. I am with her and then the groom all day capturing their love story. So a fun relaxed element is important to me.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The one photo - now thats hard but it...has to be one of just the groom and his bride away from the hustle and bustle of the day. A chance to take in and to just breathe in the days events...These private moments speak volumes in photos and you get to capture just the bride and groom completely in love and happy.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I guess it was a groomsmen shot at a driving range. All the groomsmen lined up at the driving range, golf club and golf balls to hand and took a swing. I was on the range taking the picture :0)
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Brolly and Wellies and to not be put off by the rain!! It can add some serious drama and lead to wonderful images. When rain is captured it looks like sparkling diamonds.
Describe how you got into photography.
I got into photography because of my children. I started to photograph them. It lead to photographing local bands. I then started supplying images to a greeting cards company - which got published and distributed around the world. After that I started getting recommended for weddings and fell in love. I've been abroad, been published and along the way made some awesome friends.
