I AM A FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER AND FEEL VERY LUCKY TO CALL THE BEAUTIFUL HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND HOME.
I AM ORIGINALLY FROM GLASGOW & RELOCATED TO FORT WILLIAM WITH MY WIFE AND KIDS IN 2015.
BEFORE REALISING MY DREAM OF BECOMING A PHOTOGRAPHER IN 2012, I WAS A CHEF FOR 15 YEARS AND I LIKE TO THINK MY EXPERIENCE OF WORKING IN A HIGH PRESSURE JOB FOR SUCH A LONG TIME STOOD ME IN GOOD STEAD FOR THE PRESSURES OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY - IN FACT I'D SAY I THRIVE ON IT!

What is your most memorable wedding?
This is to difficult to answer to be honest. It would be like asking for my favourite song, there’s too many to chose from!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Spontaneous & natural, full of emotion, classic with dramatic landscapes
What about your business are you most proud of?
I’m proud of how my business has grown year on year and that a lot of my Weddings come from word of mouth which is the highest compliment I can be paid.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
With regards to wedding photography I’d say, do your research. A photographer doesn’t need to have photographed at your venue before but the most important thing is can your photographer cope in different lighting and weather conditions. The proof is there to see in photos :)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Describe your typical process with a couple.
From first contact my aim is to put my clients at ease and try to make the process fun (as it should be) my first thing is to send a brochure which details everything from my background, pre wedding, wedding, prices and recommendations. Many of my couples have mentioned that the brochure was not only informative but put their minds at ease (even if they’re camera shy!)
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There is something to be said for just a great, well lit portrait of the happy couple. (This doesn’t have to be staged it can be captured during ceremony, speeches or even the first dance.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I think that would have to be when one of my couples asked if they could climb a tree for a photo. (This wasn’t a small tree) they’re outdoorsy so it was no problem for them and the sequence of photos of them climbing and then sitting in the tree (K.I.S.S.I.N.G) are something else!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
An umbrella ;)
Some of my best and most liked photos have been taken in the rain. I’ve even had brides on a few occasions hoping for rain so we could get the coveted “rain shot”
Describe how you got into photography.
My father in law is a photographer and noticed (just from photos I’d taken in my phone) that I had a keen eye for a photo. He introduced me to wedding photography and I was hooked! I love everything about weddings and capturing them is always an honour.
