Aaron jeffels Photography Full Description

Relaxed Documentary Wedding Photography — Honest, Emotional, Unposed

Your wedding day isn’t a styled shoot. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime collision of people, nerves, laughter, chaos, love and meaning — and that’s exactly what I photograph.

I work in a natural, documentary style for couples who want to be present, not performed. No stiff posing. No awkward instructions. Just calm guidance when it helps, and real storytelling the rest of the time — capturing the atmosphere, the emotion, and the moments you didn’t even realise were happening.

My approach

I blend in with your guests, keep everything relaxed, and focus on the genuine stuff: the teary hugs, the proud parents, the quiet “we did it” look after the ceremony, and the full-on dancefloor madness later on.

What you’ll receive

A carefully curated gallery that tells the story of your day from start to finish — photos that look beautiful now, and feel even more powerful years from now.

Based in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, covering Yorkshire, the North East, the Lake District and Scotland.

  • And because I want your day to leave a positive mark, I plant a tree for every wedding I photograph.

Message from the team

Name of Wedding Contact: Aaron
Hi, I’m Aaron — thanks for stopping by. If you’re the kind of couple who feels a bit weird about having your photo taken, you’re in the right place. My approach is calm, relaxed and documentary. I’m there to capture your day as it really happens — the laughs, the nerves, the happy tears and all the in-between moments — without turning it into a photoshoot. I’ll give gentle guidance when it helps (group photos, portraits, timings), then step back so you can actually enjoy your wedding.

Aaron was an absolutely incredible wedding photographer. In the lead‑up to the day, he was supportive, calm, and full of invaluable advice that made us feel completely at ease. On the wedding day itself, he blended in effortlessly, guided us with confidence, and captured everything so naturally. His professionalism and warm presence made a huge difference. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend him to any couple looking for someone exceptional.

Genuine, lovely man with the most incredible talent!
Honestly couldn't recommend Aaron enough! He went beyond "above and beyond" every step of the way. In advance he had Zoom calls with us & gave us brilliant tips to help with the planning. On the day, he worked around us and our guests (and their last minute requests) and afterwards we had preview pictures within a couple of days and more emails than I dare admit planning our wedding album (which he has designed perfectly!) Most importantly, every single picture is outstanding! He has perfectly captured intimate moments, fits of giggles and hilarious expressions of all our guests. Everyone has been downloading his photos to cherish. So THANK YOU Aaron, you are incredible (and we know we aren't the easiest people to work with!)

Everything we wanted and more
Aaron is just an amazing photographer. From beginning to end he was just fabulous. We received the most amazing photographs that we will treasure forever. We even climbed quite a way down to a waterfall to capture the most perfect images

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

We’re awkward in front of the camera… is that a problem?

Not at all. Most of my couples say this. I’ll give calm, simple direction when needed, but the majority of your photos come from real moments as they happen — no cringe posing.

Do you do “natural” photos or do you still take group shots?

Both. I mainly shoot documentary-style, but we’ll still do the key group photos. I keep them organised, quick, and painless so you can get back to your guests.

How do couple portraits work if we don’t want to pose?

Think “guided walking and chatting” rather than posing. I’ll put you in good light, give you something easy to do, and let you be yourselves. It’s relaxed, fast, and never awkward.

What’s your approach on the day?

I blend in like a guest and quietly tell the story as it unfolds. I’ll step in when it helps (timings, portraits, family photos), then step back so your day feels like your day.

How much coverage do you offer?

Most couples book all-day coverage so nothing feels rushed — from morning prep through to dancing. If you’re planning something smaller, I can cover that too.

When will we receive our photos?

You’ll get a carefully curated online gallery. Turnaround depends on the season, but I’ll always confirm your expected delivery timeframe before the wedding.

Do you travel, and is it included?

Yes — I cover North Yorkshire, the North East, the Lake District and Scotland. Travel is usually included within my local area; for further distances I’ll quote it clearly upfront (no surprise extras).

What if it rains or the weather is wild?

No stress — UK weddings are basically a contract with chaos. I’ll adapt, find great light, and make the most of whatever we get (sometimes the moodier weather makes the best photos).

We hate being away from guests for ages — will photos take forever?

Nope. I keep portraits short and efficient. You’ll spend far more time enjoying your people than posing for the camera.

What makes your service different?

You get honest storytelling, calm guidance, and a photographer who genuinely cares about how your day feels. Also, I plant a tree for every wedding I photograph — a small positive mark tied to your big day.
