The York String Quartet

The York String Quartet is a highly professional, experienced quartet which specialises in providing elegant string music of the highest quality for weddings, events, parties and corporate functions throughout Yorkshire and the North East. The players are all professional musicians who are established chamber music and orchestral players. All of the quartet members have spent many years playing across Europe with the top British orchestras, such as The Philharmonia, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Opera, and of course, the Orchestra of Opera North. On occasion, when individual members of the quartet are committed elsewhere, we draw on a small group of carefully selected guest players in addition to our founder members. We have a huge repertoire which ranges from wedding favourites and classical music to pop, jazz and show songs, a snapshot of this is provided below. We can also respond to requests for a particular style or type of music if that is what your guests would prefer.
