What is your most memorable wedding?
woah.....so many weddings so its hard top choose one. But I think the one where there Penguins walking down the aisle before the bride is definitely up there. Yes......Penguins!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Energetic - diverse - memorable - fun - affordable
What about your business are you most proud of?
I give so much of myself to each wedding that the bride and groom are usually super happy - and we end up becoming friends after. I am still in touch with many of brides and grooms - watching their lives grow.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure you get an experienced photographer WHO KNOWS YOUR VENUE. They will have all the inside tricks at that location - know where the sun will be for the best light - know where to take you for the best shots - have a relationship with the venue staff and crucially.....will be able to do it in the allowed time. Nobody likes a wedding that runs over because it took the photographer ages to get the shots. And wedding photos are massively important to capture the memories of the day forever!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Bridal sneakers lol. So many brides I see tottering about in pain. Get a nice pair of wedding day converse or trainers. I have seen them made bespoke for the day. On your most special day don't be in discomfort.......you wanna throw shapes don't you?
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Booking on with me is super easy and done by email. 20% deposit is taken by card through our secure provider Stripe - the full balance is due 2 months before the wedding date. In the time in between I offer everyone a video call where we can spend an hour together having a virtual brew and talking through your wedding day. I offer my expert advice and perspective and help you choose the most important music like the bridal entrance; playing you examples so you can say YES.....or no.....then you know it will be perfect. I also get to know you and your tastes and what makes you tick. It all goes towards making your day perfect with attention to detail - and all your daytime music handled in one place......by me
What makes a romantic first dance?
Well I think this is a tough one. Because the first dance is so personal. What I like might no be what you like. But I do really like The One by Kodaline because of its words. Aside from music choice - as this is totally personal - the actual dancing is often a source of anxiety to many. My advice is - just be yourself. Don't go learning a routine or expecting to bust out some epic moves is this just not who you are. A simple "hug and shuffle", vaguely in time to the music can be just as effective. People are there to celebrate you and your marriage - not to witness a strictly episode
What is your number one floor-filler?
Well Mr brightside is pretty globally accepted as a floor filler. But you can't deny that Sweet Caroline gets people going too (its just less cool)
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
Van Halen!
What is the soundtrack to your life?
ooh any funky rock music. Currently really loving Richie Kotzen but I doubt anyone will know who that is lol
