What is your most memorable wedding?
With over 400 weddings under my belt, it’s hard to pick just one! But one that stands out was a festival-style wedding in a stunning countryside barn. The couple had live sax performances alongside my DJ set, an energetic crowd that never left the dance floor, and a surprise confetti blast during the final song—it was pure magic! Seeing the couple and their guests having the time of their lives is what makes this job so rewarding.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of how Menham Entertainment has grown from a passion project into a trusted name in the industry. Starting at just 13 years old, I’ve built a business that has brought unforgettable moments to hundreds of weddings and events. Seeing packed dance floors, happy couples, and incredible energy at every event reminds me why I love what I do. Plus, having a dedicated team that shares the same commitment to top-quality entertainment makes it even more special!

Your DJ, venue, and photographer get booked up fast—sometimes years in advance—so secure them as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Also, communicate your vision clearly with your entertainment team. The right music and atmosphere can make or break your big day, so don’t be afraid to share your must-play (and do-not-play!) songs. Planning ahead ensures a stress-free and unforgettable celebration!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my favourite personal touches was a couple who recorded heartfelt voice messages for each other and had them played just before their first dance. It was a surprise for both of them, and you could see the emotion in the room as their words filled the venue. It made the moment so much more intimate and special—there wasn’t a dry eye in sight! Personal touches like this make a wedding truly unforgettable.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My process with couples starts with an initial consultation where we discuss their vision, music preferences, and any special requests. From there, I provide a tailored proposal with details on the entertainment package and pricing. Once confirmed, we secure the booking with a contract and a booking fee. About a month before the wedding, we touch base again to finalize details and music choices. On the big day, I ensure everything runs smoothly with an early setup of sound, lighting, and any extras like the Photo Booth. Afterward, I follow up for feedback to make sure their experience was perfect!
What makes a romantic first dance?
A romantic first dance is all about the connection between the couple and the atmosphere they create. It’s not just the song choice, but the moment they share. A slow, meaningful song with personal significance can make it incredibly special, especially when accompanied by soft lighting and an intimate, relaxed vibe. It’s the couple’s focus on each other, the look in their eyes, and the emotions that flow through them during that perfect dance. The setting, the music, and the couple’s energy all blend together to create a magical, unforgettable first dance.
What is your number one floor-filler?
“I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston is an absolute classic! It’s always a crowd favorite and has that irresistible energy that makes everyone want to hit the dance floor. From the iconic intro to the uplifting chorus, it’s a perfect feel-good song that gets people of all ages dancing and singing along. A surefire way to keep the party going! 🎶💃🕺
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
If I had to pick, I’d say Queen—they’re the perfect mix of musical talent, energy, and showmanship. The way they blended rock, pop, and opera was groundbreaking, and Freddie Mercury's stage presence was unmatched. It would have been incredible to be part of such a legendary band, contributing to their iconic sound and performances that have stood the test of time. Plus, the energy of a live Queen concert would be an experience like no other!
What is the soundtrack to your life?
The soundtrack to my life would definitely include a mix of upbeat classics and meaningful tracks that bring back memories. I’d go with songs like “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey (it’s all about perseverance!), “Happy” by Pharrell Williams (because life’s better when you’re feeling good), and “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen (for the dramatic, epic moments). Then, for those quieter, reflective times, “Imagine” by John Lennon really captures the hope I feel about the future. My life’s been a journey, and these songs just feel like the perfect accompaniment.
