What is your most memorable wedding?
Playing for an outdoor ceremony in the Scottish Highlands in the snow, it was freezing cold but beautiful!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Soulful, Romantic, Relaxed, Versatile, Memorable
What about your business are you most proud of?
It's such a compliment being asked to be a part of a couple's day, and I love every wedding I'm a part of. I'd say I'm most proud when a couple requests one of my original songs to be a part of their day!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
This is your day, so take your time choosing your suppliers, it has to be right for you!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A telephone guest book, for all the guests to record a voice message to the happy couple, what a great touch!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once a booking has been made I send over a copy of my songlist to the couple so they can choose all of the songs that I'll play for them if they'd like to, and if the couple would like to arrange a telephone/video call to discuss their day. If the couple have any requests for songs that aren't on my list I can record a draft video of their chosen song for them to have a listen to, to make sure they're happy with my arrangement.
A week or two before the big day I send a 'detail confirmation' email where I go through all of the details for the day to double check everything!
Then I always arrive at least an hour early to make sure I'm all set up and ready!
What makes a romantic first dance?
Whatever the couple choose for their first dance, it's always romantic because it's a special song for them...but a single guitar with vocals does add to it!
What is your number one floor-filler?
Probably Hi Ho Silver Lining!
